Greetings all...
I might be missing something... I read the Getting Started FAQ and have a team ready to play... am I supposed to log onto chat and see who wants to play? Is there any practice games? Love this game and love the site... just a little lost. Help

Hi, I've only started recently too - it took me a while to work out whats going on.
If you're still stuck here's how
click chat
click Java Applet
on chat page if you type 'bb lfg' it will show your team to everyone.
You may then get some offers of a game.
Alternatively if you see a suitable opponent (ie similar rating) you can private mail them by right clicking on their name in the right hand box.
To start a game run the bb exe
If you host -
game type - net server
host - fumbbl.com
port - 8081
proxy(you have to agree this with opponent) e.g 'yourname vs theirname'
team1 - paste(ctrl v) the url for your team roster (click R next to your teams name)
when ready hit 'host game'
If their hosting itsthe same but using net client instead
If you've already worked this out apologies, its just I wish someone had told me how to do it - the instructions on this site aren't exactly comprehensive.
Good luck - you'll need it out there! |

I strongly advise you to download an irc client to do this - easier to work with by far.
Try www.mirc.com for mirc, though there are plenty of other irc clients (pirch, xchat, bitchx, misc others).
Have fun =) |

A relatively new player here too...
Whilst I have worked all the above out, I keep hearing about how some people watch replays...
How is this done, I click the "Replay" button on match reports and I tend to get an error of one form or another... is there a particular program I need on my PC other than the BBowl??
Thanks in advance! |

To watch the replays, you need java2 1.4 installed and Java Web Start set up properly. If you can't do this on your own, the best way to resolve it is to log on to the chat and ask someone there.
