Elvira skilled after Raiders & Corsairs' last game.
I was thinking to give her leap, but then a double came up.
So what skill should she take? Mighty blow? Guard? Skip for leap? Or tackle?
Guess mighty blow is the way to go, but perhaps there's something I'm not seeing here... |

Mighty Blow or Stand Firm. I would go SF. |

Stand Firm on a player with Sidestep? Seems like a suboptimal choice to me. |

You are correct. I missed that she already had side step. Forgive the oversight. Mighty Blow would be my choice then. |

Great player Pics.
I totally Disagree with MB (which you have picked anyway).
Looking at Elvira, she seems to be your main try scorer. MB in this sense is totally useless on your ball carrier. OK, you may want another person scoring those tries and getting that SP now. But I wouldn't be having her doing blocks and standing next to players.
In defense, your sacker should be blitzing!
A WE should not be starting next to players. AV7 and they will break.
Ok mb means Elvira helps keep some numbers down...hopefully taking out a person.
Guard would help win the blocks and position her closer(ok a bigger target on this WE, but WE always have a target on them). You need some guard to break a cage.
Also:
Shadowing (mv8 would be great for defense and trapping players).
Dauntless comes to mind, as if you have a str4 guy you need to take down... you only have 1 player with guard.
Simply put. If Elvira remains as your try scorer.... Sure hands.
Otherwise I would go Guard or Dauntless. Shadowing is also tempting. |

She might look like my main scorer, but that's simply because she's the oldest player on the team (not minding a -MA lino). The team has had some rough games lately. It's been over 5 games I don't have 4 blitzers anymore (and no money).
The mighty blow is mainly with blitzes in mind. She will be doing the majority of the blitzes now (which is nice since she's got 8 MA) and then hopefully return behind the lines (if frenzy doesn't mess up her position). So no guard, because as you say that makes her an even bigger target.
Also, I already have sure hands player (the runner). So I don't see the urgency of having another player with sure hands. And finally, I don't want to waste a double on a regular skill. |

witch elves were born to take mighty blow on doubles. Only exception is if 4ST, sidestep, leap...then consider juggernaut. |
