With January almost over, it's time to pick up the speed in February with the:
NAF Speed Rush 2019
The NAF Speed Rush 2019 is a test for a new format more suited for online play rather than mirroring real life Table-top events. Main changes are KO instead of swiss and one-minute turns.
- The NAF Speed Rush 19 will be a resurrection style tournament with multiple 8 team qualifier KO tournaments and then a final tournament with all winners.
- There are specific dates for the qualifiers. At least the first 2 rounds have to be played on these dates. The final can be played later before the main tournament starts
- There is a turn limit of 1 minute per turn, after that the opponent can time you out!
- Qualifier Schedule (all February dates)
- Friday 1st: 22:00
- Sunday 3rd: 20:00
- Tuesday 5th: 21:00
- Thursday 7th: 22:00
- Saturday 9th: 20:00
- Sunday 10th: 10:00 => Hangover special
- Monday 11th: 19:00
- Wednesday 13th: 20:00
- Friday 15th: 21:00
- Players will need to sign up for max 3 qualifiers here latest at 22:00 the day before the Qualifier is. Please make sure your team is applied to the group and is legal according to World cup rules
- Main tournament (with qualifier winners) will start on Monday, February 18th with weekly deadlines, whereas KO will enable to play as soon as the opponent is defined.
- you can use the official roster excel file from the World Cup 2019 in Dornbirn to check your roster
- Create your team with this link and then apply the team to the Online NAF fumbbl group
- A guide on how to make your team you can find here
- We are using the official World Cup 2019 in Dornbirn rules
- All details are available in the Naf Speed Rush Rulespack

Hi Strider,
Small question, we have the right to max 3 qualifiers.
Can we do them with different rosters?
If yes, I would make several registrations specifying which roster on which date.
But, if several rosters are qualified, can one choose which continues? |

Correct you have to do differnt sign up entries.
You can also play a different race in the main tournament |

I think I'm being really dumb, but I can't figure this out from the rules:
Skills for day 1 - 2 normal and 5 double. But what about the qualifiers?
Eg I've got a tier 1 team set up with 1100 TV, no skills. Does that mean I have 60k to spend on skills for qualifiers, or no skills at all? |

The form doesn't seem to allow that. On the form, we have to indicate 1 Fumbbl Nickname, 1 Fumbbl Team Name and then 1-3 Qualifiers to participate.
Or does it mean we have to subscribe once with a FUMBBL nickname and a team, then to fill in the form another time with the same NAF nickname and another team name + another qualifier date ? |

I have another question. Yesterday evening, I subscribed to qualifier 1 (Friday Feb 1st, 22:00) but when I look at NAF Speed Rush responses google page, it indicates 0 sign-ups and 0 qualifiers secured for that date. Does it mean my subscription didn't work and I have to try again ? |

Yes, for the first game. if you make it to the second game you will get the day 2 skills as well.

this, due to my limited technical ability to set up the form otherwise... |

This is now fixed (the results of the form had overwritten some of my formulas)
you can find the current sign up status here
It might, however, take a couple minutes to refresh.
You cannot see who actually signed up on what day in order to not metagame against good matchups coach or race wise. |

From the rules pack:
There is a 1-minute turn limit. Once that limit is reached, time from your 5 minutes
extension is reduced until you finish your turn. Once that is also used up, your opponent
can time you out after your time is up.
How is this intended to work? Is it implemented in some way? Or Do we just have to eyeball the opponenets time usage? |

Sorry this was the original intention, then I checked and unfortunately, the client does not support this option, so it will be straight 1 minute turns. Forgot to adjust that in the details of the rulespack. |
