Rolled a 3+3 on my 2nd skill for a dark elf runner, whom already has +MA as the 1st skill.

Really not sure what way to go with this guy.
Strong arm? No. Still needs sure hands, pass, may as well take accurate if going that route and save 10TV and then still need to take at least 1 of block/dodge before all that.
Mighty blow? No. Why use a runner for that with 4 blitzers and 2 witches.
So I'm looking at guard or ignoring it, or going on an whim and taking grab just for that scenario where grab might be needed to move a side stepper.
+MA, grab/guard, block, dodge, leader... I can work with that.
It doesn't have much synergy with dump off, but finding the extra room for sure hands, pass, and nerves of steel requires a dedicated build, I think.
I'm sure somebody else has a better idea though... |

+ma currently makes him fastest on your team
i'd build him like so: blodgestep, then sprint, then surefeet
just to oneturn and carry safe-ish-ly
so skip doubles imo
even if you want to pick surehands to carry, you can skip either block (don't like the idea) or sprint or surefeet. Of those maybe sure feet is the one to be skipped (i think getting one more push is harder than failing a gfi.. on oneturning). |

If you're going to use the double, you're right in taking grab for it, so you can blitz away from a Sidestepping DT if they get on him |

The issue with guard is it's likely putting an AV7 in harms way, especially one a long way away from blodge.
As you say, with grab, it gives an out in awkward situations. |

Either Guard or skip.
You don't need to actively put your AV 7 Guard in danger, ball carriers tend to be marked quite often, and Guard (+ Side Step) helps to chainpush them away.
Here's an AV 7 squishy ball carrier of mine, so don't think I'm just theorycrafting: https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=8476112 |

Why do you have a runner at all when you have that AG5 leap sure hands blitzer?
I'd fire him. |

The current rules really favour high TV. Plus fun. Plus options. |

As he is your only move 8 he should be an option for running with the ball. So the normal skills make sense. Probably Dodge now.
I suppose stand firm could be an option instead of side step if you consider running down the flanks. |

Take mighty blow and make him top DE runner blocker in blackbox. You only need 10 cas to be on top of the list. |

I'd go with guard. Sure you'd rather have it on a blodge blitzer or lineman, but don't look a gift horse in the mouth - any guard on elfs teams is very handy. Just use it passively or for key turns until he gets to blodge. |
