We have 13 teams so far! And when I add my team soon, that will be 14! I am hoping for 2 more so I can debate between a two 8 team conference season, or a four 4 team conference season.
Anyways, time to apply your teams to the group is running out! |

4 conferences 4 teams lends itself to better bowl matchups BCS wise. That way we can have the Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange Bowl, plus the BCS championship game for the top two teams. Might I suggest we use the Cotton and Peach Bowl for the other two at large and then the Toilet Bowl for anyone who chooses to play Notre Shame

So obi-wan's wisdom applies to blood bowl as well...
Anyways. The # of conferences will depend on the # of teams applied. ATM we have 16, but I have yet to create my team, though I will have a chance soon. From then on, who knows. |

BTW I just added my team to the group, the Georgia BullCentaurs.
If anyone can make a simple helmet for them like their real one, which simply has a large G on it (red helmet, black letter, white face mask), it would be apreciated. Unless of course the helmet was cursed, which would not be nice. |

I don't want to seem like a pest, but is there a deadline for teams to apply? I think this league is going to be a LOT of fun. There are some excellently creative ideas so far, and can continue to expand as we go.
I'm somewhat new to League ideas (the first League I've join is the NBFL, based on the NFL, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.), so forgive me if it seems like I'm chomping at the bit to play. I almost feel like Synn again (i.e. - da ubahn00b) when it comes to BB thanks to League play putting so much more fun back into the game.
17 teams so far! I'm just itching to tear into some teams.

Ok so I got home and see that we still have 16 teams. That works. So to divide the group into 4 conferences, I simply took the list and made it alphabetical...by the coach names. And it turned out like so:

AKC (All Killing Conference):

Brutus' Belligerent Buckeyes

SEC (Star Elimination Conference):

So this means the four conferences are:
Big Beast, AKC, Smack-10, SEC.
I shall start the first season this weekend after aquiring the majority of the coach's votes on the USA Today Poll (to determine preseason #1).

I like predictions, so here are mine for the AKC:
1st: Pain State
Played with Todfatha once, he's good, and orcs are good. I think he takes a clean sweep, going undefeated in division. Only team that gives a close contest is the BullCentaurs, who have the strength to stick with him.
2nd: Georgia BullCentaurs
I don't know the coach, but dwarves, even the chaotic type, are tough, resilient, and more than able to get the ball in while providing a dominating D. I'd say they rank in the top 5 for defense all season.
3rd: Longhorns of Texas
Norse can score, they can hit, but they're weak, and will be brutalized by the dwarves and orcs.
4th: Wyoming Cowboys
Right where they belong, in the cellar, wondering what if? The team develops slow, shouldn't have an issue with graduations, since few of the players are likely to live that long, and have a rookie coach to Rotters. Best of luck to those poor beasties . |
