I've started compiling an alphabetical list of acronyms and abbreviations in common use on FUMBBL. There are a lot there - but I know many more are missing.
Please feel free to add more, bearing in mind a few things:
- Please don't add (too many) acronyms in broad use on the internet which are not specific to Blood Bowl (ftw, fwiw, brb, iirc, imo, etc, etc). If all these were included, the list would become unwieldy and useless for its intended purpose
- Please don't add (too many) acronyms which are used in the rulebook itself (MA, AG, ST). I know some of these may be in there already, but please check they really are used in the rulebook before cutting them (you may just have used them so often here that you assume they're in the rulebook when in fact they're not)
- Please think about whether the acronym is ever actually used. For example, by analogy with HEs, DEs and WEs, Pro Elves should be PEs, right? But does anyone actually ever say PEs? I don't think they do, so it's not in the current list
- Where referring to a FUMBBL group, tournament, coach, concept (or whatever), please include a link to it
- Please try to keep to the same format (eg, currently, italics for all entries; remember to use %%% at the end of an entry to ensure a line-break)
If you'd like to change the format completely to something better, please give it a go. Remember, it's a wiki: you can't mess it up, we can always switch back to an older version. |

You can do anything you like (it's a wiki). However, all the normal ones are already listed in copious detail on many other sites, so listing them all again here seems redundant. |

I've decided to convert it to a table for easier reading. Instead of using %%% at the end of each entry, use the | symbol to mark the beginning of the word and definition columns. |

Ok, when I said "we" I actually meant "you" |

Just a point of perspective....when i see "WE" I always think of Witch Elves as opposed to Wood Elves...I usually see people say "Woodies" when refering to Wood Elves. |

"Wtf? Pfffft! Rofl! 6,6,5,4,3,8,6,5,6,7"
You are playing Britnoth.
In all seriousness though, good list. I tend to say 'wd' whe the oppo scores, although that's already Wardancer in the list, worth tacking on? |

Me and my friends refer to players that can OTS if they get Quick Snap as a Snapturner (as opposed to a true oneturner). |
