I am a newbie and reading old threads to learn. And I have encountered the phrase "recovery game" multiple times.

I seem to geet my arse kicked pretty hard, and almost always walk away with multiple injuries or death. Not to mention I've always got someone missing the next game.

Is there any rule against having a recovery game, what is ettiquette in a recovery game, should it be offered or should it be asked for? How badly injured would you consider is needing a recovery game?

This seems almost cheating, like play me gently and we will both make some money and a vip... I dont like the idea of it, but I am newb and struggling, and I read the concept on these very boards, so If everyone else is doing it it will only put me on even ground.

A 'recovery game' in the sense that you choose to play a team with little or no MB/DP/Claws, and thus stand little chance of taking damage is fine.

Any sort of pre-match agreement such as no fouling is verboten and against site rules.

The terms "Recovery game" most often means playing a team that is not bashy, and without armies of dirty players, claws etc. However, the rules specifically state that you CANNOT lose on purpose etc. However, playing a game vs some wood elves after 10 games of Khemri is hardly cheating; just common sense. "Recovery game" is often used in jest.
EDIT: That was fast.

Flings and Gobos are not at all recovery-
you may be able to get lots of SPP by CAS but they tend to foul a lot... IF they turn out to have a good day it's not about "5:0" but "0/2/3"...
Elves on the contrary tend to play for the ball and are unlikely to foul with an eye on 'em.
Stunties aren't really bashy of course but played mean and dirty- don't underestimate those vicious little devils Twisted Evil

Visit the local barracks.

A recovery game is often discribing a game against an equally hurt team that can also only field 10 or less players.

not only that but its a noob who has done his research on the forums before even posting a question. Half of the veterans never even bother to do that ( me included).

Recovery games are those matches in faction where the teams don't get faction points, just cash and spp ...
... and lots of rips and perms.
