for sounds I'd stick with stuff that crowds chant...not things individuals would say
for example:
/cheer - crowd cheering
/boo - crowd booing
/hurt - crowd going 'oooooh' (though the 'that's gotta hurt' is funny)
/defense - crowd chanting 'Defense, defense!'
/offense - crowd chanting 'Go, go, go!'
/taunt - crowd taunting the team
/ref - crowd cursing the ref
just some suggestions |

I think it will be unbareable with too many emotes. If they have to be increased, I would like the client to be able to turn off emotes w/o turning off gameplay sounds. |

Ya know what Blood Bowl is really missing? A /madden emote, which would randomly spout off...

If you do have extra sounds, how about linking them in to the client - having louder cheers for the more serious injuries for example.
Or a "What an amazing throw" or "He is going deep..." when a long bomb is thrown?
I still miss the old Speedball 2 sirens and ice cream noise! That's when you knew you work had been done (well, on one guy at least!) |

Stick with the original emotes /hurt /boo /cheer
and add:
/go - crowd shouting "go for it!"
which can mean pretty much anything, go for that t16 foul, 1 turn td, troll-long bomb etc |
