Well Fumbbl fans I have allready arrived in Lustria for the much anticipated 4th Major of the year. So far this year we have had some serious upsets in the previous 3 majors and some new coaches have risen to the top. The Lustrian this year will hopefully live up to the hype and give us another excellent tournament to follow.
Lord Purple Chest, recently was given this title in a posh ceremony at the Fumbbl hall of fame for his work getting the tournament scene up and running,has given us another format change which should give this years open a new feel and twist. The flat entry system finally has arrived and it has allready caused a stir in the Lustrian contenders. Some call it unfair, anti- star player/wizard. Others have said that Purple Chest has a grudge against the "Count" and has dried up his slush fund of money from all the undead teams. Some say this will make a more equal playing field and allow some teams that normally would not be allowed into the Lustrian a chance to compete. I will attempt to get a sit down with the Ranked Commish as soon as he arrives in Lustria to get his official stance on these changes.
Well only time will tell if the changes will be good or bad but atleast from a Blood Bowl talk perspective it is all "gold". Hot Blood Bowl opinnion are allready starting to pop up in the fourms and the excitement level is rising as the SMACK Legend activity seems to be climbing as the contenders are starting to get warmed up.
In Lustria some fans are allready starting to arrive for next months event, probally doing what Iam doing and taking a vacation before the fun starts around here. I spoke to the local Lustrian commish. about the recent millitary coup that toppled a renegade "frog" and was sent packing into exile. He said that the local situation will be cleared up for all the quests of Lustria and security will be top notch. He did warn all fans who arrive in attendance to not venture to far into any jungle as some of the locals are still a little miffed about the last Empire expedition that arrived in the spring looking for some fountain or some such. Well they could not find it so they just decided some Lustrian gold was good enough and started a rampage.
I can tell you that the golden beaches are top notch and the service is excellent were Iam staying. Once you get past the skink servants you should be ok. Also the manhantains at the Lustria pagoda lounge are 5 star and you should check those out when you arrive. The street merchants also have some excellent meats, have no idea what they are, nice and juicy with a "kick" that will set your taste buds on fire.
Well back to the pitch to close this out. Rumors have it that the Eaters will not be making the tournament this year due to the flat entry, they just cant seem to come off their gold stash: an admirable trait for any dwarf. Also coach PeteW has retreated to his monastary so we are not sure if he will be attending this year. I have been following the majors now for over 2 years and it seems that there is currently a changing of the guard in the Ranked division. A lot of younger coaches are pushing themselves into the elite ranks and the older teams that were household names for a whille are fading away under the normal wear and tear of numerous campaigns onto the pitch.
This years installment should be a grand spectacle as we await the initial draw and start to make some conclusions on who the front runners will be for the Lustrian Challenge III.

Well Fumbbl fans the teams are starting to roll into Lustria for next months 4th Major of the year. A lot of teams are allready trying to arrange some matches against the local club teams and some SMACKS are being put together to get the teams last few prep matches.
The Big news of the weekend was the arrivial of the defending Champions the White Killers and coach rafadavila. The Killers were greeted by thousands of local fans and given a grand entrance to the main stadium were they were given some more honors as last years champions. The Killers are primed and ready to defend the title and have high hopes that their temple guard will be in top form as he is playing on his home turf. With some of the top teams allready bowing out of this years Lustrian it looks like the Killers will be one of the early odds on favorites.
Last years run to glory by the Whitekillers was one for the ages and they took down the Eaters and Brotherhood in back to back games. After that it was a down hill run for the Killers and championship glory.
Well I have been keeping and eye out for all the big name coaches and teams to start arriving and I will keep all you fans up to date on what is going on down in Lustria. I also have a lackey for this tournament, TNT has finally come off some gold to get me a dang assitant, and he will be keeping an eye on all the prep matches and report back any breaking news from the trainers rooms and the local mortician as the bodies start to roll in.

***BREAKING NEWS FROM THE LUSTRIAN***
Well Fumbbl fans SMACK CCXIV just formed up here in Lustria and some of the contenders for this years Lustrian are taking part. Flachpfeifens 4th try, attempting to get back into shape after the disaster of the last major.
Sleepers in Metropolis, once again trying to climb the mountain and take a title for all the necro's around the world
and Finally the Death Valley Daze once again trying their best to make some waves against the top flight teams.
We will keep an eye on the other 5 teams as they might not have the name recognition but could be this years "sleeper" team in the Lustrian.
SO if you got the time check out these games and get in some spectator time and enjoy. The matches are going on right now!!!!
and of course we will be checking in on the trainers rooms after the matches and see how the teams faired.

Banks Over Halo Thar (Basnks just lays into the Halo Thar and dismantles them)
Black Sails at Midnight OVER Flachpeifens 4Th try (Well the Flach pulls out the late victory and advances....Are the Flach back up and running?)
Sleeper in Metropolis OVER Death Valley Daze (WHAT?!!!?? the game that never happened....Did a chaos gate open and suck in the SLeepers? what the heck is going on around here? I need to look into this game and find out why there was not a concession or something.)

Well Fumbbl fans we have the final set. The mighty rats of Flachpfeifens 4th try will take on the power of Banks. It should be a classic match. Can the Skaven prevail and not get killed? or will Banks wilt under the pressure of the finals?
We will tune in and find out shortly. |

Just got word that Scheduled FUMBBL SMACK/LEGEND XXVI and XXV are starting back up. Some really nice teams getting in some prep matches and the blood is flowing. Will have the updates as soon as I can get my damn assistant to process the results.
On a side note seeing all this SMACK action has got the Buccaneers going crazy BUT when you are work you can only sit around and watch. So sad. |

**Breaking news from the Lustrian**
Tragic news Fumbbl fans! Word is just reaching us that last night a armada of ships was headed to Lustria with a lot of teams, coaches and fans hoping to take part in the Lustrian Challenge. Well they were overcome by bad weather and then according to one survivor who managed to make it to port the largest maelstrom ever scene off the coast opened up. I can confirm from this witness that coach Azure and the Azure Frenzy were last scene on the edge of the Maelstrom and slowly being dragged into its center. We can only hope that Coach Azure and his team were lucky enough to make it out. I have also got word that the Bogenhoffen dragons and the Wasteland Juggernaughts were lost at sea as their ships were scene capsized and slowly being drawn in.
It has been a horrific day in Lustria as the tales of the survivors start to roll in. I will keep you up to date on any further developments.

Thanks for the fun write-ups  My Too Tough dwarf team had some fun burning their gold and playing with a star player and RuneSmith. Perhaps they will be my Lustrian team... never know! |

***Lustrian SMACK update***
Well Fumbbl fans the SMACK legend action continues here in Lustria as the teams are getting ready for next weeks application. The contenders are trying to get into form and figuring out how to contend with the flat entry for this years Lustrian.
SMACK Legend CCXV kicked off over the weekend and man was there some titanic teams in this one.
But as we checked in on the action the Danis Terrors had pilled drived all the competition to advance to the finals against the Darkkillers. Both of these teams have been scene on the majors circuit and you can be sure to see these two teams in the Lustrian this year.
The body count was lacking in this one considering the teams that were involved. But here is the roll call of the dead from SMACK CCXV
Plolo, +ST orc blitzer, could have been a great
Azubal, a star player dirty player who had it turned back on him
Simon Swartz, another Human catcher bites the dust
We will await the finals match and see how it plays out. Those Danish Terrors with 4 CL\RSC players are the team to watch. Will they keep stacking up the dead like cord wood or get caught up in a killing frenzy but get taken down on the scoreboard?
