Hi all
I wanted to play BB again after some years of break, so i downloaded Java (latest update) et JavaBBowl, 8.8 version and patch 8.9 as indicated in the User Guide.
The software launched, i could set teams, set the ball, but then, after the event is rolled, the cursor stayed ball-shaped, and i couldn't select any player... I could set the ball again, roll a new event and so on ...
I tried different versions of JavaBBowl, and had the same problem with all of them.
I have Windows 7. My computer is almost brand new. Any ideas of how to get rid of this problem ?

somebody else might know more, but it could be your java version (some versions of java dont work wqell with the javabbowl client)

Hmm, yes, maybe it's because of the Java version, but i couldn't find the 1.4.2 anywhere ... =( |

Are you using Sun (Oracle) java? |

Ok problem solved
Yes, i was using Sun, i finally found Java 1.4.2 and now it seems to work perfectly

1.4.2? Isn't that like REALLY old? Might give you probelms elsewhere. I'm using 1.6.0_19 (Version 6 update 19) on win 7 and it works fine. I'd update to 1.6.0_21 but I'm lazy and there is always the chance it wont work...

One thing to note - if you have installed javabbowl under c:\program files\ and you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you could have odd problems due to permissions. It is best to make sure the javabbowl foler is not under c:\program files\ |
