I'd very muich like to be able to receive a PM from the bowlbot when it announced that it's time to activate blackbox teams for a round.
I imagine the simplest method would be to have it send pm's to everyone who has a team 'pending' when it resets.
Thanks,
Timlagor. |

Can't really see the need for this. When everything is fixed all blackbox rounds will start at fixed times anyway. |

If you're not on IRC to see bowlbot's channel message to activate, what use is bowlbot PM'ing you on irc? |

When you're online, "look at a clock"? |

well, to defend people who don't play blackbox, nobody wants PMs from a bot advertising services they have no desire to take part in...

PM will probably cause your IRC client to blink/flash or something for attention.

Which is why PM would only go out to players with a team pending.
The bot alerts all (interested) players upon the draw so why not at activation time too? |

Because the activity today was unusual. Now that we're back in to the swing of activations every fifteen minutes, it shouldn't be difficult making sure you activate in the five minute window. |

Why don't we remove the 5 min activation window. Why do we need it anymore?
How about when you activate your teams (at any time) the pending text says how many mins til the draw: (pending 13min), and there's a 'de-activate' link beside it to remove your teams if necessary.
I believe the 5 min window was only put in because you might otherwise activate then leave back when there was a draw every hour / 30 mins |

But you send me txt messages of the services you provide... Which I don't want any part in. Try Spoony instead... |

Just leave it as it is.. It works, and I actually like the idea that the person that activated, has been online in the last 5 minutes. |
