Hi. We have been playing blood bowl with the java for a week without problem. Suddenly, yesterday, something goes wrong. The program says (in spanish):
:"Ha habido un error al ejecutar la aplicación.
Categoría: Error de argumento no válido
No se ha podido cargar la URL o el archivo especificado: C:\....\Configuración local\Archivos temporales de Internet\Content.IE5\8RB3AW55\bbowl[1].jnlp"

translated: There was an error at execution of the app. Category: No valid parameter. Not possible lo load the URL o the especific file:
.........\bbowll[1].jnlp"

The OS is XP, and has been working well for a week. We don't understand what happens. Thank's

Deleting your Temporary Internet Files should fix it.
Control Panel - Internet Options - Temporary Internet Files - Click Delete Files

Ok. we did it, but nothing interesting happens Sad

We reinstalled the java, and the bloodbowl client. Both.
But still the same problem. It can't find the bbowl.jnlp file. When there is "bbowl.jnlp", he demands for "bbowl[1].jnlp", and so for 2, 3...
I think the problem is in the file .jnlp. It must be downloaded at the start of the game? in wich folder? or have i to open? or what?
The client goes well for a standalone game.

Thanks

Sounds like your problem is with Java Web Start rather than the BBowl client. You can skip that altogether by not using the Play link next to your team and starting up the old fashioned way, as outlined in the user guide.

You can copy the link to your team's roster by right-clicking on the green "R" icon next to your team name. That's the link to the roster. Right-click and choose "copy link location" - then paste that in as your team when starting the game.

<joke>Back in my day, we didn't have no play link... we had to play by running a string between houses and shouting moves into a tin can! And we liked it!</joke>
