I predict that the high team category will get the least number of applicants this year and the forlorn will get the most since most of the teams that are dangerous(bashy-wise) won't be able to enter in it. |

You are most wise in your prediction. 
Thus the age old debate...do I enter the Forlorn to avoid the Bash/Elfball when it might be an easier path entering the High TV or CR bracket...
Oh the choices...and hopefully you do not hear these words.. "your choice was unwise".

I predict that if the winner is wise, he will pick a Rotter as bonus player: give him Dirty Player and make another Rotter for each killing foul you get! OP! |

Well FUMBBL fans Altdorf is popping now. This weekend we saw the arrivial of a lot of teams. The Tournament has all 16 fields set up and running around town. Prep matches are taking place and some of the contenders have allready been "punched" out of the tournament. My unoffical count hanging out around the GLT HQ it looks like the Forlorn and Old Teams tourneys are filling fast. CR and TV seem to be lacking but then again some coaches might be playing some "games" on which tourney they will enter, dont want the competition to know what they are doing.
Friday night saw the arrivial of the Blood Sea Buccaneers and they played a prep match for the fans who had arrived early for the weekend. The Buccaneers got their MNG personeal back and managed to skill up their third legend player. After the match they held a press confrence and the Buccaneers are in good spirits and think they can make a run at it this year. Of course the big question was which tourney the Bucs will be entering. And to everyones suprise they actually answered the question.. They will bring their grey beards to the Old Teams tourney and hopefully punch their ticket for the main draw by taking down some of their nemeisis that they have played a few times in the past. After 650+ games you pick up some rivals.
** Rumors that I heard **
Whille I was hanging out at the pigskin tavern a little birdy told me that coach Malmir arrived in town last night and it seems he has a new team. Dark Elves and Orcs are just not his "cup of tea" anymore. It seems he some how got a head coach job for some CD's. From what I hear those guys are low down and nasty. Mutation seems to be running through that team. I hope Coach Malmir knows what is good for him and he does not start nibbling on some warpstone.
A fan asked me if I had seen coach JackDaniels and if the Eaters were going to show. I promptly told him that coach JD has decended into a personeal hell and you can find him over at the Altdorf Book and Casino. It seems JD is permantly stuck at a Tillean Hold' Em table and is in a perpetual state of drunk. His days of coaching are long behind him it seems. As for the Eaters I have no idea what hole they crawled into.
I heard that the Hellbound Charoteers are in town. Actually I did not hear, I saw them in person. They were in a massive scrumm in the "row" and man did they lay out the drunks. I tried to get word which qualifier they will be in, but between punches and knees to the groins I could not make out the answer. Maybe they are just in town for the spectacle. We will soon find out.
I was told that Coach PeteW was seen arriving last night and it seems he is rubbing elbows with the NOBS now. He was reported to have been seen with Lord PurpleChest and a bunch of Nobles on the "hill" hanging out at a posh tavern. Wonder what is up with that?
I was passed a note a few days later related to that meeting on the "hill" and I cannot confirm any of this but my deep throat informant wrote down...Admin code, RNG and Mr. Men...Well I will have to find out what this code means.

Well Iam off to the pitch to check out some prep matches and get a "feel" of the GLT. The fans are awesome around town and it is very exciting right now. |

Lets take this out to the logical and insane conclusion. You do said plan...It starts to work. After 100 games you keep one slot open on the team at all times and eventually your High Elf team is 16 rotters.
The most awesome FUMBBL team of all time if you could pull that off...a High Elf team composed of all rotters. |

I'll be showing up in the Old Teams qual with the Legion of Orgrimmar. They've been rather idle in CRP, since TV2390 orc teams are tough to find a game with. I spread my games out among my teams, but presumably 128 is plenty old to make the cut.
We're looking forward to some rematches against old friends. |

High Elves - fun, Halflings? Amazing. Two Trees, fourteen rotters, Chef, etc. Awesome. Actually, Ogres, Goblins, or any of the teams with cruddy linemen and power positionals could really benefit from this idea.
Of course, first you have to win the GLT... |

Oh what a spectacle FUMBBL fans! I just left the main venue were Booty Pirate and the Nandorins just played a match for charity. This match was prearranged by the GLT. Its purpose was to collect money for charity that the GLT would hand out at the end of the tournament to their charity sponsers. Events were planned before the match for the fans to meet and greet the players. A skill show took place were the players talked to kids and showed them the basics of Blood Bowl. You know a fun filled day with the stars on the pitch.
WELL that went sideways and blew off the side of a cliff. The Nandorins showed up on time and were handing out autographs, showing the kids the basics of passing and catcher. Being overall nice guys and laughing it up with the fans. They even showed up in their gilded gold uniforms that they use during these types of matches. Well about an hour late the Booty Pirates show up in run down stage coaches, the kind you see on the "row" to shuffle patrons from bar to bar. The girls show up and half of them are drunk. The other half have jugs of rum and singing bar songs. Coach Calcium has a grim visage and has black strips under his eyes, he looks mad and ready to play some Blood Bowl.
The Ladies just blow past the onlookers. Ignore the autograph line and kick over the props for the skill demonstration. A few of the girls have t-shirts that read: NUFFLE hates me and one of them had a t-shirt that said: NUFFLE hates YOU.
Well needless to say the wholle scene degenerated quickly once the ladies handed a 9 year girl a bottle of Rum and told her to run away and join up with a crew of pirates. Well that 9 year girl who is a big Booty fan just so happened to be the niece of an Elector Count. Iam sure that will not sit well with the count.
This turned into a classic charity match gone bad scenario. The Booty Pirate showed up, started laying the boot, beating down and beating up the Nandorins in their pansy armor and making a mockery of this match. Lord PC was in official attendance as this match was set up by him to show that FUMBBL does care about the less forturnate and meant to put a nice face on a very brutal sport. Needless to say by the end of this he was "steamed". As the fans were leaving I could see PC standing there "taking it" from the Elector of Averheim as he was waving a bottle of rum in PC's face.
A lot of fun at the GLT this year...be sure to take in the sights and sounds. It has the feel right now that the tournament has allready started with all the action on and off the pitch. |
