I think the Princes will have to skip this tourney. Between the burden of having to take a second HE thrower (someone who really hates HE's picked the prizes), to the unclear bribe situation it just doesn't seem viable.

Yes, and HE's get TV bloat via an additional thrower. The prizes are simply put, ridiculously unbalanced.
And still no word on bribes being in or out. The ability to take two bribes as inducements for an underdog in a game of 7s would greatly skew matches.
I really love 7s and all the work that the league admins have put into this, but I think that this wasn't thought through and needs to be clarified/corrected before the tourney begins. |

Whatball, rationalize the placement of a 6439 Blodge, Regen + Stand Firm player on a team like Chaos Dwarves, who are already good at both bashing and ball placement.
It's not balanced, but it's a one-off prize given to only a single team in a year.
It's not like every team will have him, and don't forget that drafting still applies to these players.

whatball -- reading the rules for the christmas tourney -- it clearly states (rule #4) that bribes are out -- even for gobbo's.

Blader, no idea what you are talking about with this Blodging regen player on a CD team?
I'll likely relent and enter, the snobby High Elf Crystal Palace Princes just need to raise a stink about things every now and again to feel important. |
