Continually building on one of the best Leagues in North America. Fluff and NFL parody is fun times Smile

I am likely biased, but I think we have the best set of coaches in any league online. Quality personalities and coaching acumen to boot.

NBFL Season 8 Preview and Predictions

It's been far too long since I've done a season preview (two seasons in fact, almost a year and a half). I have kept up with my always-enjoyable playoff previews/predictions though, and I keep getting more accurate each time. Thus this should be my most epic set of predictions yet!

Last year we saw the San Frenzysco 666ers dominate the NBFL competition in their inaugural season with their freakishly amazing, stat-increased squad, winning a thrilling Super Bowl game in overtime against Tennessee. They lost only once all last year, and, unfortunately for the rest of us, return much of the core that accomplished that feat. No NBFL team has ever won back-to-back titles, however, though San Frenzy looks to have a good shot at doing so.

But the NBFL restocks its' franchises with fresh blood for each campaign, giving us new threats and opportunities. Each season brings hope to every team, that this time they can finally break through to the playoffs, or perhaps even go all the way. Thus it's time to look at each conference, division by division, before predicting the whole thing.

NFC West
Returning teams: San Frenzy, Arizona
New teams: Savage Loose, Seattle

-We'll start with the defending champ's division, the NFC West. San Frenzy didn't even win the West last season, as several ties on their record let rival Seattle take the division crown. But the 666ers went right through the Sea Rats in the playoffs on their way to the title, leaving everyone looking up at the champs entering this season. Arizona returns to challenge them, but both Seattle and Savage Loose bring in new squads in an attempt to change the balance of power.
-San Frenzy has perhaps the best blitzing corps in the league, lead by the stat-freak known as Patrick Willis. No ball carrier is safe from this team, resulting in a lot of defensive scores for this squad. While very talented, the squad is a bit short on depth, and a bad game or two could change their outlook drastically. Still, the oddsmakers may have them as the Super Bowl favorite for quite some time.
-Arizona had a solid rookie season but clearly not quite on the level of a certain division rival. Their blitzing corps is very excellent, though a bit more conventional than those found in San Fren. Whether or not they can play good enough ball-control to make a playoff run remains to be seen, but they certainly have a solid-looking squad.
-The Horned Rams look to have a mix of conventional chaos wisdom with some CRP tactics. They have several players with guard in order to cage well, some players adept in wrastling the opponents to the ground, and of course one hunter-killer by the name of Jerious Norwood. The only feature lacking is a dedicated ball-carrier, which could hurt them in the long run.
-Seattle returns with the same coach but a new-look roster, no longer focused on turnovers and quick strikes, but rather bashing the opposition into the turf. They do currently have the best logo in the league, as well as one of the toughest players to stop on a blitz: Jameson Knoz. Perhaps a motto such as 'Seattle Knoz Defense' is in order?

-The West will come down to whether San Fren can avoid damage like they did last season, as they were able to keep their team in tact on their way to a title. If enough teams (including the three division rivals) wear them down, it could open the door for a surprise winner.

NFC South
Returning teams: Atlatl, Carolina
New teams: Nawlins, Tampa Bay

-The NFC South was dominated by the ATL last season, as they finished with the #2 seed in the NFC before falling in the divisional round. No other team from the South got to the playoffs, and now two new squads hope to change that.
-The ATL returns last year's awesome squad, which is adept at dealing damage and annoying the heck out of you with a variety of skills. The only issue would be if a serious injury befell one of the linesaurri, forcing a rookie into action. Otherwise, expect big things from the lizards once again.
-Carolina returns after a solid season where they (if I recall) didn't start with either werewolf. Two were trained mid-season, and their mere presence should help this team get off to a better start.
-Nawlins has a much different look than it did a few seasons ago, as they now try to put hits on their opponents, pun intended. IRL references aside, this squad has seven players with mighty blow, and two young ball-carriers that show some potential. If the latter two develop nicely, and the former group does their job, then this team could make some noise by season's end.
-Tampa Bay has yet another new franchise, and this time they'll try to throw the ball around all over the field. Whether they'll be similar to the old Aints team, who had three mediocre seasons in addition to one nuffle-fluff campaign where they got the #1 seed, or manage to be far more successful, remains to be seen.

-The race for the South will likely learn towards the ATL for most of the season, but it could get interesting late in the year. By that time, Nawlins should be far more developed and deadly, while the Wannabees could be dangerous if their team is still alive as well. You probably don't want to sleep on Carolina either, who was a playoff power a few short years ago.

NFC North
Returning teams: Detroit/None
New teams: Chicago, Green Bay, Wintersota

-The North had both the Lionz and Viqueens in the playoffs last season, who faced off in the wildcard round. However it looks like we'll have a clean house to start the season, with no returning teams at all (given that Eisen has been off for 38 days). Thus it'll be tough to get a read with all the new teams, but that won't stop us!
-Da Spores are pretty ugly, but they don't mind one bit. Their ability to win games, rather than tie them, will always be tested. But with 'Sweetness' Plagueton carrying the ball, they will be in good hands.
-Detroit may have finally gotten fed-up with all their playoff blunders that the team revolted against management, leaving their participation in the upcoming season in jeopardy.
-The Lunch Packers will have a chip on their shoulders and in their stomachs each and every week to prove the doubters wrong. It'll be interesting to see how many upsets they can provide over the course of the year.
-The Vikromancers (nice name btw), are actually last year's New Arleans team that moved to Wintersota over the offseason. They do have some very nice positonals, but whether the change in scenery will help the team succeed is debatable.

-The North would be interesting if all four teams made it, but it's likely that only three will be playing. None of the races involved are known for their ability to purely win games, leading us to believe that we might have a .500 record division winner.

NFC East
Returning teams: Dallas
New teams: New Khemri, Philahellphia

-One of only two/three divisions with three teams, the other east teams were greatly helped when the Washington franchise dropped out over the offseason (as they won the division last year). Two new teams look up to Dallas, who show promise in their second campaign.
-The POMBoys don't yet live up to their name, nor did they win many games last season. But the coaches acknowledged that they were mostly trying to survive and grow during that time, though only time will tell if their offensive woes have been solved.
-New Khemri continues the tradition of skeletal teams in the Big Apple, though they may also continue the tradition of so-so seasons. The Giants will look to Pierre-Paul to lead the new squad.
-The D'Eagles bring a much more open offense than their predecessors, and could be fun to watch by season's end. They're pretty young right now, but a trial-by-fire could set them up for big things in the future.

-The East will likely go to Dallas, though Philly could make a late run if they develop well. However any injuries to the POMBoys could derail their team, leaving things up in the air.

AFC East
Returning teams: Buffalo, Mon Ami, New Angryland
New teams: New York

-Easily the best division in the NBFL for several seasons, last year three teams made the playoffs from this division (and it wasn't the first time, if we recall). All three return, and the rivalries between the teams will only increase over time. New Angryland won the division on the final turn of their season finale, and advanced to the conference championship before falling. I personally cannot wait to see who I pick to win it this year Very Happy
-Buffalo keeps barely missing the playoffs or underachieving if they do get in, and they desperately want to change that this year. The seemingly ageless Terrel Owens will look to carry his team to where they want to go.
-Mon Ami is one of the best teams in the league at player under-manned (or rather under-elfed), as they constantly have to do so after playing in this division. These elves can seemingly pull off the impossible, gunning for the ball at all costs and executing awesome plays. The only question is whether their current players will be alive when the playoffs come, or will they have developed new ones to simply replace them.
-New Angryland enters the season with both the highest salaried-team in the league, as well as unfinished business. Last season they were predicted by some to win the Super Bowl, but fell in the AFC championship game. The same team returns to pick up where they left off and push even further this time around.
-New York has a new team but the same race as before, still being chaos. However the Jetz aren't as POMB-reliant (or at all), and have potential to develop substantially by the time the season is over. Whether or not they can remain competitive during that time should be interesting.

-The East will remain the toughest division, as at least two of them will likely make the playoffs once again. I don't think the Jetz have the tools to knock off the returnees yet, though I never count out their coach. Will the division title come down to the final week once again?

AFC North
Returning teams: Cinderfail(?), Crushburgh
New teams: Cleaveland, Pactus

-The AFC North crown has changed hands several times over the last few seasons, but rarely has it had this much change at once. Cinderfall could likely be on strike for the entire year, leaving only the Bleeders as a returning team.
-The aforementioned Bengals will probably miss the season. Which is a shame, as it ends the league's eternal hunt to finally kill Ochocinco.
-The Hounds hope to awaken the Dogpound and bring their fans some exciting football for the first time in quite some time. However the roster is young and needs to grow before playoff expectations can be realistic.
-Chrushburgh narrowly missed the playoffs last year, and look to finish stronger this time around. The team is very well-built, and baring any injuries to their stars, could go all the way this season.
-Baltimorus will likely follow the same path as Dallas did last year, attempting to remain competitive while still building the squad. However they won't likely win many games, but could set themselves up for big things in season 9.

-The North will be tough to win as always, though Crushburgh starts as heavy favorites. Cleaveland could hound them, pun intended, over the course of the year though, with the ability of elves to win games.

AFC South
Returning teams: None
New teams: Jacksonville, POWston, Tileanessee

-The South looks very different without the Tennessee team of the last two seasons that won both division titles. Which of these new teams will step up in their place?
-The Jagorkz return after two seasons off, hoping to continue their streak of division titles. However the South was a terribad division back then, and a .500 record was good enough to get by. The J-orkz need to improve their offense if they want to continue their success of old.
-POWston has a very well-built squad that could be a dark horse team this season. So I'll stop my analysis there, in order to keep them under the radar...
-The Titans have a lot to live up to with their new team, having been to the AFC championship then the Super Bowl in consecutive seasons. They too have a very well-built squad, mixing a bashy blitzer corps with a quick but effective group of receivers.

-This could be a surprisingly good division, after years of ineptitude before two recent seasons of having one dominant team. All three squads look very good, and projecting a winner over the course of a season could prove difficult...for someone else Wink

AFC West
Returning teams: Fangas City, Oakland, San Dogo
New teams: Denver

-After two seasons of divisional dominance by San Dogo, Oakland finally won their first division championship...and promptly lost in the wildcard round. But the division looks as tough as it was when Relezite's KC team was crushing everyone, and could be won by any of the four teams.
-The Broncomons are the new team on the block, but won't feel intimidated by their veteran rivals. They might struggle to win in their inaugural season, but they surely won't struggle to inflict casualties.
-Fangas City might be the toughest team to beat that doesn't win a ton of games, given the awesomeness of their vampires. Then again, they could surprise everyone and put us to sleep with their hypnotic gazes while they celebrate in the endzone.
-Oakland finally won the division last year, but were oh-so-close to much bigger things. A dropped pass cost them a first-round bye in their season finale, and then a snakes on a dodge cost them an opportunity to take control of their playoff game, before another failed roll ended the game. This talented but aging roster looks to have one last campaign in them before needing to rebuild, unless their division opponents and/or nuffle speed up the process.
-The Chompers failed to make the playoffs for the first time last season, but have retooled the squad for another crack at a division title. The team will be riding legendary quarterback, "Mad Bomber" Fouts (whom IMO has the best player pic in the league) to take them as far as his arm possibly can, which could easily be back to the playoffs.

-The wild West will be very competitive once more, as the four very different rosters struggle for dominance in the division. Whoever emerges from the group should be well-tested for the playoffs.

The Fangsas City Chiefs kicked off their first full season in the NBFL with a spectacle of a match!

The day was sunny and nuffle's mood was in favour of the unlikely. An early score and a succesful bit of defense had the Fangs up 1-0 at halftime, but down 3 players, as a severe lack of sideline babe-age had the vamps mostly unwilling to get up all game long.

After an early score for the tie by the Broncomons, the vamps were already dreaming of a short-handed victory. A good necro kick and a blitz later though, the vamp coach was ready to sign for a tie right then and there. Severe aversion of the ball displayed by the opposing ghouls though kept the game exciting and a crowd that stood behind the bloodsuckers suddenly tossed the ball right into Thomas Jones' running lane for a late 2-1 advantage to the vamps, leaving the necros only 2 turns for a tie.

Champ Bailey finally got his act together though and after Succop's choke kick, he managed to hit Tim T-Bone with an inch-perfect 5+ pass. 2-2 was the final score in a game enjoyed by all.

Good game, can't wait for the rematch(es)!

Welcome to our bonus coverage on the NBFL today. We want to take you live to a press conference being held today by the New York Jetz and their head coach, Tex Dyin' at the Jetz training facility in Gore-ful Park.

REPORTER 1: Tex, tell us what you can reasonably expect out of your Blood Bowl squad this year. Do you really think you have a chance to compete in this league as a rookie squad?

TEX: Well..... you know... even though we're a first year franchise, we plan on competing at the highest level... you know... that's why we're here. We've got a great defensive ball club that buys into the concept of winning as a team effort. We don't have any real big-name superstars on either side of the ball... you know. It's all about achieving the goal as a team, and that goal is to win Blood Bowl matches, and to be standing on that NBFL Championship podium after that Super Bowl within 3 seasons.

REPORTER 2: Tex, would you care to address the rumors circulating around the NBFL that you're in negotiations to work out a trade to add Tim Tebow to the Jetz roster.

TEX: Well, I can't really say with any certainty what the situation is there.... uh.... you know... our GM is really the guy that you would have to talk to about that, as it's Spike Jamminjowl's job to make this Blood Bowl squad better in any way possible... you know... My job is to have this team ready to compete every week against our opponent, and to play on a high level so as not to embarass our fans or our management, and I'd like to think that we showed that in our Week 1 match against a veteran and extremely solid opponent in the Billy Goats. We were fortunate to play them to a draw. We may have had the opportunity to win at the end with a successful handoff, but in truth, you have to be happy with the way the Defense played in this one. They gave us the opportunity to be in this match... you know.. as we get a bit more experience under our belts, we'll find ways to win these matches rather than our guys just being in them...

REPORTER 3: Rumors abound that you plan on benching Darrelle Revis for dropping the sure winning handoff. Any truth to that?

TEX: At this point, we're gonna see how he practices, and if he plays at the level that we know he's capable of, then he's gonna be out there every week. He helps to make this Defense what it is, and you can't just take a guy with his fire and passion for the game and bench him because he didn't make one particular play.

REPORTER 4: Tex, back to Tebow. Are you worried that he's gonna cause a Quarterback Controversy on this squad?

TEX: Well.... uh... you know... Mark's my guy. We drafted him young, and have given him the reigns to the franchise, and no matter who comes in here to play, Mark's gonna be my guy.

REPORTER 5: Tex, speaking of bringing guys in to play on the squad, a lot has been said this week about Borak coming in to play against Buffalo, some saying that he was there to specifically go after Terrel Owens and Donte Whitner.

TEX: I'm gonna stop you right there, as I'm not at liberty to comment on anything about any of the bounties put on players.

REPORTER 5: Tex, I never said anything about any kind of a bounty being placed.

TEX: Uh.... uh......

REPORTER 5: Was there a bounty put down on any of the Buffalo players just this past week, Tex?

TEX: Uh..... uh.....no comment, and I'm sorry folks, that will conclude this press conference for today.

Studio reporter: Well, there you have it folks. Tex hopeful for the Jetz squad this year, but we understand that the NBFL is looking into the possible bounty system that may be in place with the Jetz defensive locker room. The NBFL may put the Jetz under investigation for this season; an interesting and eventful start to their inaugural season in the NBFL. Stay tuned for more details as they funnel in...

Well so far that's not quite worked out w/ said 'Sweetness' fumbling 4 times straight in the opener to effectively give us the loss rather than the MOAR possible tie. Not to mention those damn tasty spore pies they brought us! BUT, next time we iz wearin' nose plugs & we're bringin' our wood choppin' claws too!

April 29th Deadline for Week 3!!

Great job getting games in despite a few league members being away / AWOL. So you all know, I have sent a PM to Sleepy hoping is is safe and encouraging him to contact me when he gets back online. His unreported disappearance, though, is garnering him a big boot from the league. So!... what does that mean?

The AFC North and NFC East have, in effect, 2 teams each. They will play each other to get another two games in this last week... because each team has only gotten to play one freakin' game so far.

The New Khemri Giants and Dallas POMBoys will play the Cleaveland Hounds this coming week. UNSCHEDULED IN TOURNEY (but still for purposes of our standings). First come first served per the schedule of FreeRange. Conner and Coach, I know I'm putting a little extra weight on your shoulders this week in doing this. Sorry for the shorter length of time to get those two games in, but hey... I'm pinch-hitting here and making it up as I go Smile

Ritzi has informed me he will be back on April 28th. Conner and Coach, if you can get your games in with him that weekend, awesome. Do your best to try and accomplish that. Let me know if there are issues.

Ryan... if you can start a PM with Ritzi for when he gets back to get your NFC South game in that weekend, too, that'd be awesome.

CRIMSONWOLF: The AFC South and NFC North have one game each to play. Once those are played I will create a tourney for those divisions to play each other ONE GAME (based on TR at that point... but obviously not matching Minni vs. Jacksonville Wink. See what you can do about getting those games done ASAP so I can make the schedule.

In closing: Not to poo-poo the AFC West getting done ahead of schedule, but KUDOS to the NFC West and AFC East for getting their games in and being right on schedule (NFC South is doing a fine job of that as well.) ALL IN ALL - those of you that have been active are awesome. The conference round is right around the corner. We've had some excellent knock-down, drag-out, throw-downs thus far... blood, guts and beer. Me likey. Play on boys!!!

Welcome once again folks to the NBFL Today. As we did last week, we'll pick up NY Jetz head coach Tex Dyin's press conference, addressing the media after his team's very disappointing performance against New Angryland.

REPORTER 1: Tex, you and your team have had some time to digest this loss. What can you tell us about what you can reasonably expect from your team going forward?

TEX: Well, you know...... this one hurts. It does... you know... We had high ambitions of not only competing in that match, but winning.... the offense sputtered out of the gate... but.... it looked like it was going to generate a touchdown, but we didn't account for the athleticism of their two QB's (Quarterbulls) they have on their squad.... you know.... I've got to tip my cap to those two guys... you know... those guys came hungry, and ready to play, and it was obvious after the match that our guys didn't.

REPORTER 2: Do you feel that this loss really hurts your chances at a legitimate playoff run now?

TEX: Playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? Don't talk about Playoffs... Playoffs?

REPORTER 3: Tex, we noticed that the majority of the QB duties thus far has fallen on the shoulders of Mark Brunell. Is there a QB controversy in your locker room?

TEX: Uh, no. None to speak of. It turned out that the ball was kicked closer to Bruney, so he picked it up and ran with it. There really isn't much more to it than that.

REPORTER 3: But aren't you worried that either Mark Sanchez or your fans will be frustrated with Sanchez' lack of production, given the amount of money you've invested in him?

TEX: Look, Mark's our guy.... you know.. he really is. We've made that commitment to him, and he's our guy going forward.

REPORTER 3: Which Mark, Tex?

TEX: Heh... Sanchez. Mark Sanchez.

REPORTER 4: Tex, how do you respond to the fans' sentiment that given the poor performance against New Angryland this week, that this is more than enough evidence that the team needs to make a trade for Tim Tebow?

TEX: I have to just roll with it from week to week...you know....Spike (Jammingjowl) is responsible for constructing the team, adding and subtracting players, and giving me the best possible combination of players to go out each week and win. My job is to take those guys, and get them on the same page to win football matches.

REPORTER 5: Tex, the media really wants to know. Your squad seems to continuously employ the services of Borak from week to week....

TEX: Only for two consecutive weeks so far, let's be fair.

REPORTER 5: Right, but they're the only two games you've played in the league so far. Why is that so far?

TEX: Well, Borak has a unique set of skills that our young guys are lacking thus far.... you know... I hope that he can bring some experience to our young guys with his play on the field and help these young guys to learn, and get better as the season goes along.

REPORTER 5: But Tex, many people are saying that you only employ him because he plays a very dirty game on the pitch.

TEX: I can't really comment on that.... you know.... the decision to employ him obviously comes from Spike (Jammingjowl)... I put the guy in there because he hits hard, and knows what he's doing out there, and that leadership helps out my younger guys.

REPORTER 6: What can you say about your team regarding the rash of opposing stars that have died already this season while playing against you?

TEX: Look, in this game, injuries are going to happen, it's just a nature of the game... you know... it's UNFORTUNATE, yes, but the fact that my young guys are out there hitting hard, and trying to impress the staff enough to stay on the squad says a lot about the commitment of these kids to our system... you know... it's sad to see some of the superstars lost on the field, but that's a nature of the sport that I have no control over.

REPORTER 7: Tex, people in the media as well as the front office of the NBFL have been saying just the opposite of that, in the way that they feel you DO have control over the dirty play of your team thus far. Can you come out and publicly say that there is no Bounty System in place for your players on hits to the other team

TEX: Well, there's not much that I'm really allowed to say here, as the NBFL has said to us that the situation is currently under investigation by their offices. I can say that my team is NOT dirty! We don't employ on our roster a single Dirty Player to this point, so I think it's an unfair statement to make about our club. That's pretty much all I'm allowed to say right now.

REPORTER 7: But Tex, what about Borak? He is a well-known dirty player throughout the NBFL...

TEX: I'm sorry, but I can't really be held responsible for the play of Star Players such as Borak, or what they've done in their history. I can only try to get them to buy in to the game plan we're using week to week.. you know.. Spike says, "hey, we can use this guy this week", and I have to fit him into the equation somewhere.

REPORTER 7: Did the NBFL mention anything to you about any penalties or fines that could be levied against yourself or the NY Jetz if the investigation turns up anything?

TEX: They have not offered specifics, no, other than a suspension and fine would be in play, Other than that, no specifics were offered.

REPORTER 8: Tex, we noticed that Borak was seriously hurt in the New Angryland match. Is it true that you left him in a position just so he could take a vicious hit so one of the other members of the Jetz wouldn't have to?

TEX: Well, I don't know who would have told you that about our game plan... you know... but leaks like that.. you know... they don't do anyone in our organization any good...

REPORTER 8: So, you're acknowledging this as a true statement?

TEX: Uh... you know... uh... I'm not going to comment on that...

REPORTER 5: Tex, what exactly do you have against Donte Whitner?

TEX: I don't think I should comment on that either. Thank you, that will be all for today....

Well, there you have it folks. Obviously, there's some inner turmoil and dissonance within the front office of the NY Jetz. Only the next few weeks will begin to tell if these problems can work themselves out, or if there will be some major changes ahead for this first-year squad. There's much to think about from this week's conferece: does Tex Dyin' have a personal grudge against Donte Whitner? Is there a BountyGate controversy going on? Will it lead to a suspension, or even his job?
We hope you'll stay with us this season, NBFL fans as we continue to explore the hot topics of the week, right here on the NBFL Today!

NFC Conference Game: Dallas POMBoys vs Carolina NecromPanters

I haven't done a review of an individual game of mine in a while, but this contest easily deserves one. Dallas came into the game winless on the year, after getting decimated in their season opener and failing to (literally) pick up the pieces since then. Carolina has had a roller-coaster season so far, as they lose after a win but win after a loss. Could either team get the victory they need to start turning their respective seasons around?

Carolina won the toss and chose to receive, hoping to do some damage and gain a numerical edge early. However they failed to break armor with their four blocks and foul attempt, leading Dallas to gain the edge when they KOed a wolf via a blitz. Carolina proceeded to try and flank the POMBoys around the bottom of the field, though another Dallas blitz resulted in a ghoul being injured, and early reports indicate that he'll be out at least a week. But the POMBoys left a gap in the middle of the field, and Carolina exploited it by running their ball-carrying ghoul to the three yard line in the top corner of the field. After a turn of trading blocks, Carolina scored just as the second quarter started and set up on defense. They would quickly find themselves back on offense, however, as an excellent pooch kick was met with a timely blitz result on the kickoff, allowing the Panters to catch the ball off of the scatter. Dallas was able to pull some players back to react, and even setup in a good position with their minotaur on the ball carrier. However rookie wight Luke Kuechly showed veteran-like poise, dodging away from the mino, blitzing a marauder out of his way, and double-GFIing for the score. Dallas was now down 0-2 before ever touching the ball, though they still had about two minutes left in the half to try and score. Carolina was able to cover up all of the possible receivers that Dallas sent downfield, but they couldn't stop them from blitzing someone open. Thus Tony "No Homo" Romo ran forward for a quick pass, but rolled snakes on the attempt.

Failing to score before the half, Dallas was now in desperate need of a good start after halftime. But things started out poorly again, as Carolina got another blitz result on the kickoff. The deep kick let Dallas move the ball forward to their undersized but agile kicker, Dan Bailey, who moved past midfield. However a successful zombie-dodge knocked the ball loose from the gobo, though Bailey was able to pick it up and move further downfield during the next turn. There was one gap that could lead to another blitz on Bailey, but Romo may have been able to cover it with two successful dodges. Yet he again rolled snakes, letting Carolina wolf-blitz the gobo and once again knock it loose around halfway to the endzone. The other wolf failed in his pickup attempt, but Bailey snaked his dodge attempt away with the ball after almost failing the pickup. This time Carolina did pickup the ball, and then they completed a pass to the sensational rookie Kuelchy (despite a man covering him,) who dodged away and ran downfield once again. Dallas was able to get a player onto the run-away wight, but with the fourth quarter starting, they were quickly running out of time. However Luke failed his dodge, allowing Romo a chance to redeem himself for his failed pass attempt earlier. This time he did complete the pass (and again it was DeMarcus Ware who was open,) and Ware was able to score. Carolina seemed content to keep players in their backfield and secure the ball, but they skulled a block before they could. Dallas was thus able to get six players into the backfield, including three in scoring position. Carolina picked up the ball and moved towards the top part of the field, away from any Dallas tacklers. At this point the POMBoys had a few options on how to play their final turn, but chose (foolishly,) to try and send a player to the endzone for a pass (though in hindsight it would have been smarter to try handoff to him.) After almost failing the first GFI, Dallas now had someone in the endzone and needed a 3+ dodge to blitz the ball carrier before succesfully knocking the ball loose. Thus the game was once again in Romo's supposedly 'sure hands,' but apparently he has a fancy with the dramatic (as opposed to the simple pass at the end of the first half.) Tony dodged away from his defender, picked up the ball, and threw it to rookie Felix Jones II, who was hired minutes before the game started. The rookie showed no signs of stage-fright, rolling a 6 for his catch and tieing the game at 2-2. Carolina had one last turn and knocked around a few marauders before completing a pass to end the contest.

Dallas has to be ecstatic with such a comeback, though they are still looking for their first win of the season. Carolina is certainly disappointed, having given away a two-score lead with just five combined turns left in the game. However neither side suffered any permanent injuries so they can look forward to the next few games and learn from this epic contest. Great game ritzi, it was a blast to be a part of.

Sorry for the dicing Apojar, but I was instructed to deliver one by the comish...

Can you believe that guy??? Seriously I wonder who he plays in another game and if he'll still be asking me to deliver some dice magic on that poor suckers ass.

In other news.

I'm leaving in a week for three weeks. I mucho appreciate Apo for getting our game in early, but if Nekran could get his game in, then I can get my next game in, and after that Kryten has to cheat himself another victory so I can get that one in too!

Well if you can folks, I appreciate it.

Arizona is in a different pickle, but Azure and I have half figured something that probably won't work out anyway :p

Post-game interview with Coach Kyyberi

Elfigo Ears have just tied 1-1 against Lunch Packers. Coach Kyyberi walks silently into his chair, and for a brief moment everyone is afraid to ask about the game.

Reporter: Congratulations on the points, how do you...

Coach Kyyberi: Gratulations my jazz! I'll tell you where you can stick your gratulations...!!!

Reporter: Umm, so it seems that you aren't happy with the result?

Coach Kyyberi: Let me put it this way: we played against three bushes and bunch of pygmie bush-huggers. Those guys struggle to get a tie against dead grannies. If they have contrary wind, they will lose even without an opponent! And we barely achieved a tie! So yeah, someone might notice that I am not happy. Next question!

Reporter: Your thoughts on Jason Campbell today?

Coach Kyyberi: He failed 2 easy passes, and barely made one. That is a good record for one armed, half blind, drunken dwarf! He is supposed to be one of the best passers in this league, and he handles the ball like it's soaped snotling. But I am sure he is better at the next game. Meanwhile he is doing the laundry of the team.

Reporter: At the second half, it looked like you could have scored but decided to run some clock. Was that your call?

Coach Kyyberi: Those bush-huggers are like children, easy to toss around. So they can score in few seconds. That's why we wanted to run some clock and give them a little pain. Gameplan worked perfectly until there was a fireball on the field. A friggin' FIREBALL! Now I don't know about the rules and stuff, but I am pretty sure that fireball wasn't in their roster. We are told not to make any accusations without proof, so I am not saying that team bush-lovers had anything to do with it. It must be a coincidence that there is fireworks everytime they play. But looking back, maybe we run the clock a little too far, in the end we run out of time to make the winning score.

At this point the head referee comes from the door.

Coach Kyyberi: Hey ref! What the frog was that fire bling-bling? Did you see it?

Referee: Yes.

Coach Kyyberi: And...?

Referee: ...

Coach Kyyberi: Hello? Are you a retard? Is that legal?

Referee: As we have no idea where it came from, I can't really comment on if it's legal or not.

Coach Kyyberi: Can't comment? CAN'T COMMENT?! It's your job to comment, when I want you to comment! If there is a friggin' firestorm in the field, that takes away our scoring change, you should be commenting like a frenzied gobbo! You should ban the pygmies, and you should...

Referee: Naah.

Referee bites his apple, and walks away whistling "if I was rich man".

Reporter: So, to make the long story short: do you blame illegal sorcery and bribed referee for your tie? To us it looked like your team was just lazy and didn't take the game seriously.

Coach Kyyberi: Conspiracy. That's what it is. There isn't any other explanation.

Fangsas City continued their recent turnaround and won their 3rd game in a row in what was quite an impressive dicing vs Oakland.

3-0 was the final score, Jamaal Charles had a career day, scoring this happy coach' very first ever Larson.

After their abysmal start to the season, the chiefs seem to have finally found their rhytm now. But even if they keep the streak going, play-offs still seem very, very far away.

Hey gang. For those of you who are still in the league, who is planning on moving/not returning? I will be adding an NFC squad this coming season, but hope to see all the options that are/will become available. Is anybody planning on moving/changing?
