The next version of FFB will provide a whole list of game options for league comissioners to choose from.
All options below are already implemented and currently testable in the FFB Test Division. Options belonging to a group (all those starting with "pilingOn" for instance) are mutually exclusive (only one can be active at any time).
I list those here to provide an outlook in the light of numerous ongoing CRP discussions and blogs. If we can collect some sensible and doable suggestions in this thread (before it jumps off the track and turns into a philosphical CPOMB discussion) all the better.
I am absolutely willing to add more of those in the future and have Christer's full support on that (he'll provide the web interface).
clawDoesNotStack (default: off)
Claw does not stack with other skills that modify armour rolls.
foulBonus (default: off)
+1 to armour roll for a foul.
foulBonusOutsideTacklezone (default: off)
+1 to armour roll for a foul, if fouler is not in an opposing tacklezone.
freeCardCash (default: 0)
Free gold specifically for card buying (so both sides may always start with cards).
freeInducementCash (default: 0)
Both coaches get X extra gold to buy inducements with.
maxNrOfCards (default: 0)
Determines if and how many cards may be bought for inducement money
maxPlayersInWideZone (default: 2)
A maximum of X players may be set up in a widezone.
maxPlayersOnField (default: 11)
A maximum of X players may be set up on the field.
minPlayersOnLos (default: 3)
A minimum of X players must be set up on the line of scrimmage.
pilingOnDoesNotStack (default: off)
Piling On does not stack with other skills that modify armour- or injury-rolls.
pilingOnInjuryOnly (default: off)
Piling On lets you re-roll injury-rolls only.
pilingOnArmorOnly (default: off)
Piling On lets you re-roll armour-rolls only.
pilingOnToKoOnDouble (default: off)
Piling On player knocks himself out when rolling a double on armour or injury.
rightStuffCancelsTackle (default: off)
Right Stuff prevents Tackle from negating Dodge for Pow/Pushback.
sneakyGitAsFoulGuard (default: off)
Sneaky Git works like Guard for fouling assists
sneakyGitBanToKo (default: off)
Sneaky Git players that get banned are sent to the KO box instead.
standFirmNoDropOnFailedDodge (default: off)
Stand Firm players do not drop on a failed dodge roll but end their move instead.
spikedBall (default: off)
A Spiked Ball is used for play. Any failed Pickup or Catch roll results in the player being stabbed.
EDIT: added more options as implemented
removed secretWeaponPenaltyRoll option - this is handled via adding a value to the Secret Weapon skill in the roster |

Thanks Kalimar!
Question to you and Christer. Is there a way to enable these options for leagues that do not use the tournament scheduler. E.g. the CFFL uses a custom schedule so we can't use the standard round-robin or KO formats. Please can we have a way of enabling teams in our League's group use these options.
Thanks. |

Oh, and for the BB7s folks, please consider allowing teams to roster more than seven players with the new max on field option and not have to set up on the LoS. |

@WhatBall: I suggest adding a bug report (feature request) in the FUMBBL category to remind Christer and keep track of this. |

Great stuff!!! With the 11 player option. Is this a maximum of 11 players on the field, or could you set the option to have 12 plus? |

Awsome.
That gives us optional rules such as the:
'1,2 3,4....1,2, 3, 4 ,5 oh i give up' rule.
Snotlings, they're small, don't stand still and are green like the pitch making them impossible to count. If you are playing with a snotling team, you may field 2 players instead of 1. Or if it's a snotling only team, you may field all 16 players. |

How about adding this:
Sneaky Git only gets sent off IF the injury roll is a double. No send off for double roll on armor check.
Stand Firm: You do not fall over on a failed dodge. If you fail the dodge roll you do not move and your player turn ends, the old LRB4 Stand Firm. |

@harvestmouse: hmm, it's not depending on the roster, however. it's one setting for the whole league, intended to support bb7 mostly. |

Kalimar, perhaps you could manage the Snotling rule by adding an option where the client will not count the snotlings as a player on the field. I.e a value of zero. That way you can have as many of them as you can roster. Not sure if that might mess up the code in game on your turn or not.
The all-snotling league definitely needs to allow 16 on the field at once! |

Well the 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4 5 oh I give up rule, for Snotling and Ogre teams, would be a league comissioner thing. Not a fumbbl thing.
Allowing them to play with 16 players, allows them to introduce this rule. |

Brilliant work Kalimar.
Of course, this thread will become a huge options wishlist. I'm no exception:
As mentioned elsewhere, I (or rather, the rush and pass league) would love a 'wizard places prone without armor roll' option.
Also, same as whatball, I'd love to be able to enable options to counts for all games played between teams in the same league, instead of games scheduled from within the group. To do this, it would be nice if you could nest teams, making them function solely within one league (since this is where most [L] teams reside anyway). I understand this lies with Christer more than with you, though. =) |
