why not have a warhammer 40,000 side join the bloodbowel comp??? I don't see why it has to be restricted to fantasy. The teams inclusion in this point of history could be that they wanted to play bloodbowl so much they teleported back in time to play. Blockers could include Terminators, spacemarines and special players could include things like dreadnaughts, jet packs. The big guy could be something like a Lemen Russ Tank. Lets make Bloodbowl something so much more !! |

My first thought was "what an idiotic idea". Sorry! But thinking about it, there would be nothing wrong with using the excellent work done on the client for a Sci-Fi (40K) setting. It has no place on Fumbbl, of course, but the idea in itself is not so bad. I created the below Blood Angel Space Marine icons just for the hell of it  but hey, it could be fun to do something crazy on... but not on Fumbbl, I think.. **MixX goes to work on a future-style pitch and other graphics changes because he has nothing better to do anyway**
ps/ I'm not that good at graphics work, as you can see. And credit where credit is due, they are (as can also be seen), based on the Chaos Warrior icons.. but here it is:
 Tactical Marine ("lineman type")
Assault Marine ("blitzer type")
Death Company ("Slayer/Blocker type")
Devastator ("thrower type")
Scout ("catcher type") |

Like the icons
in regard to scroing instead of a ball being used to score, one needs to place a nuclear device in the end zone and when placed there it could detonate. This idea could rule out games against fantasy sides though like wood elves |

I would never play 40K teams against Fantasy teams. It would be a whole different game, ie a game using Blood Bowl mechanics but with other terms (if possible), and different graphics. And I agree that it shouldn't be a ball that was used. On a side note, I didn't create the icons for this specifically, I created them some time ago when I wanted to test some stuff about custom icons.. |

i agree MIXX with that comment actually because of this dialoguee below that would ensure:
player selected Dreadnaught
Dreadnaught blocks the gutter,runner
POWERFIST, AND LASCANNON SKILL USED
armour 1,5 + 50 ; injury 4,4 + 50
Squek has been KILLED
Apothecary cannot be used, Squek's body cannot be found
or
Leafblower Treehugger blocks the CARNIFEX
mighty blow used
CARNIFEX looks bewildered
Carnifex eats Leafblower Treehugger
Apothecary not used |

this made me choke on my dinner i was laughing so hard.  it made me remember all the space marines my carnifexs ate
