Since I have 0 intrest in timing coaches out or going on the second day rage/rant on Min/Max Box related news.

Here we go.

Fan Factor House rule.

Bring back 2 ED style Fan Factor.

Fan Factor is calculated according to CRP rules.

FAME is calculated according to CRP rules.

Changes

FF is broken down in three sub catagories.

Chant

Hooligans

Loyalty

you take your Total FF and divide by 3..Round all numbers up. And assign them to the 3 aspects of FF.

SO
1-3 FF = 1
4-6= 2
7-9= 3
10-12= 4
13-15=5
16+ =6

Then we throw some racial sauce into the mix. This is not a compelte list, just an example. Amend as you see fit.

Orcs/Goblins/underworld: +2 Hooligans
High Elfs/Pro Elfs: +2 Chant
Dwarfs: +2 Loyalty
Chaos/Nurgle/Pact: +1 Hooligan
Humans/ZOns/Norse: +1 Coaches choice. Once made cannot change.

Ok, you see where Iam going with this.

So we have our High Elf Team with a 9 FF.

They would have a Chant of 5, Hooligan of 3 and Loyalty of 3.

Now here is how those Sub FF charts work.

Any time a double 1 is rolled on a Armor check or injury check the fans start a chant. Roll a D6 and add the teams chant value. Higher roll gets a free team reroll. Ties, both teams are awarded a team reroll.

Any time a double 6 is rolled on a Armor check or injury roll the Hooligans get rowdy. Fans throw a rock. Roll a D6 + Hooligan. Winning side throws a rock per CRP. Ties, both sides chunk a rock.

Loyalty: For every 3 full points of Loyalty your team has you get to add +1 for the Fans roll during the end of match IF you lose/tie the match. Thus it is harder to lose FF becasue of losing/tie if you have loyal fans.



There you go...CRP modified FF with some 2ED marinade thrown on top.

You would have to balance it like 2nd ed so Elfs +2 Chant -1 Hooligans, Dwarfs get +2 Loyalty -1 Chant and Orcs etc get +2 Hooligans -1 Loyalty.
Apart from that - bad idea.

loyalty seems underpowered compered to the others but its cool i like it.

you know...with all of the changes that people have been suggesting lately....you'd think fumbbl could come up with..oh i dunno...some sort of custom ruleset or something...

nah...who'd want that?...

IMO that is sadly the real issue we face with CRP, not enough fluff.

The CRP rules plant the spiked jack boot squarly in the jaw of Fluff and send him to the BH box.

Well it is really simple why Blood Bowl has been wattered down in terms of fluff.

1)2ED is the classic example. It was complex. Took many games under your belt to understand the rules of team building/league rules.

2)2ED had a huge amount of "other" stuff attacted to many roll of the dice in game. It was over load. But added a lot of fluff and fun to the game.

3)LRB3 and beyond attempted to eliminate all the burdensome aspects of 2ED and streamline the game, thus killing off the fluff.

4)CRP is the grand attempt at a rule book that is focused basically on TT tournament action. The rules now are designed for in theory a comptitive weekend tourney. Fixed TV style events. Long running TT leagues (as rare as those are now a days) have issues with CRP just like FUMBBL but in a slower and smaller scale.


Thus why CRP killed off fluff for ease of Tournament play. Fluff is never easy which is why it is rewarding.

OR people could just be happy with their free to play website that has so much hard work and dedication put in that no one ever takes the time to say thank you for.
