I have a friend I want to show how to play BB online, so I wish to play some friendlies with him. What is the easiest way to set this up?

Make teams in League, play each other as much as you want. If you try and play each other too often in Ranked you will get banned.

You decide on a game name, and then you both hit the "play" button at the right hand side of your team in the team overview.
Then the client will start (or will be downloaded automatically if started for the first time).
In the box that will appear there inside of the client, you will be asked for the game name. There you enter it, et voila. |

And also, the first time you download the game it may take a while and the game will "time out" and give you a wrong password error. Just close it and restart, will work from then on just fine. |

Yeah, that happened to me when I tried to spectate some games, few days ago. I was like why do I need pass to just spectate and was sad  but then when I tried it again later it worked, so I was happy  <-- like that |

Click on About > Edit Profile > Upload Profile Image

if you set a game name starting with <test:> you will enter test mode. This will allow you to do all sorts of cheats and more importantly open two instances of the client with teams of yours (or someone else's even) and play against each other.
It is a bit annoying to play with 2 clients, but I think it is the closest we can get to hotseat right now. |

to launch the client with a team that is not in your account use the play link
https://fumbbl.com/ffb.jnlp?id=<TEAM_ID_HERE>
with the team ID of the team you want to play.
Mind that test games will NOT be uploaded. |

would be nice to play like that without the test mode, at least in League (could easily be misused in Ranked and/or Box).
btw, does anyone know if it's possible to delete open games?
I have loads of test games if I click "list open games". |

In test mode, for sure, in league it should be OK too, but if you do it in ranked/BB, it would really look like cheating, so I wouldn't do it if I were you  |
