I had a thought today. It is a rare thing so this might be a good one.

What if Black Box worked like this:

1. You must activate at least 3 teams from 3 different races in the Box.
2. The scheduler makes half of the coaches home coaches and half away.
3. Each home coach is matched against an away coach.
4. For the away coaches the Scheduler chooses which team will be used.
5. The away coach then gets to choose which of the home coach's teams he will play.

For the record, I was not the one person who voted yes. I went with pie.

Why all the hate? How about an explaination.

The thought is this way you will see more races represented. In half the games you get to pick the match up. Not only would that help the stunty teams, but you could avoid some of the nastiest. At least you often get to pick your poison.

I don't see this as the best remedy for the unique situation of the box, but it would be an improvement in my opinion on the current situation.

@Koadah, Better to choose which of those teams I will play against than having everything out of my control. At least I can play against the one I preceive to be softer. Perhapst the one with less tackle if I am the elf player. If I play up TV, perhaps I can purchase a wizard or a even a halfling hotpot.
