I recently won a game and I want to see how much my team rankings went up.
So I click on the "Show Development" link and see my nice graph of my ranking but the last entry is going DOWN!??!
So I am freaking out. How Can My Rank Go DOWN if I Won?

So I go the Ranking page and look at the formula:

NewRank = OldRank + (Some Weight) x (Game Result - Win Percent)
Game Results: For a win = 1, for a tie = 0.5 and for a loss = 0
Win probability: (some number between (0%,100%) usually around 50% if playing a evenly ranked player.

So again for a Win, it is impossible for the ranking to go down...Unless the weight is negative. How is the weight computed?

It is not possible for your ranking to go down with a win. I believe the development page lags your actual results by a few games.

To see how much you changed just compare your ranking before the game (wrte it down if needed) vs after the game.

If you had 2 browsers open at once it would be easy to see.

You are right. If I have played 10 games it only displays the first 9.

Call me curious but I still want to know how "Some Weight" is computed. I am assuming it is a fixed number.

Weight is the "K" factor. Christer has them listed in the FAQ section.

In "R" it is 2.

If you just want to see the change in your TR from the last game you can choose "Show matches" on your team page. In that listing your TR for that match is the 3rd column.

he wanted to see the Ranking difference, not TR... Wink

and yes, the graphic shows one match less than the played, so you cannot see it by looking at the graphic unless you play another match.
Or you can calculate it manually by using the formula.
