BudsBalkan: I dont want to retire them....

That is exactly what you should do, far too many nigglers and no real star to hold on to.

Hard, but the right thing to do.

Goallie 11: You should retire your team too. Sure you got some good linemen and an AG+ Tree(?!) but otherwise. Too many nigglers!!

Why do people always think that you should retire battered and bruised teams? Retirement is an option if you don't wanna play a team anymore or you need a free Ranked-spot, but not just because you'll have a depleted roster for a while, that happens and can be rebuild Smile

I stand corrected, but they donĀ“t need recovery games, they need lots of money to replace players.

IMHO recovery games are for relly battered team that can be OK next game (if Nuffle wants it).

Hadn't noticed anyone replied to what I said until now. I never said playing "softer" teams will work 100% of the time. Besides, most halfling coaches in Ranked are tricky bastards. Build up nasty trees, retire the halflings without doubles when they get too high, and keep a low TR team with said bashy Trees to pick fights with other low teams. Wink But then, they're halflings, so I guess it's excusable.

Gitzbang: You're right, there. My Chaos have been down to 6-8 players at various points in their development, yet I keep fighting my way back up. It's frustrating losing good players, but it's a test of skill to recover instead of giving up. But to be fair, my Evangelists interest me more then my other teams. And I can't say I'd fight retirement with my other chaos team. Not that I play them anyway. Surprised

I certainly don't keep these at low TR... anyone that has such an imbalanced TR/STR to not recieve handicaps from them and still close in strength deserves a recovery game. Wink

Dude, that orc team isn't even retire worthy. 9 fit players, not a niggle between em, fairly low TR so you still make money.

Why on earth did you retire that lot?

Because they were losing every game and I'm not accustomed to it...

Its a Pity you cant transfer teams into a recovery league so that they can regain their strenght and numbers.

The condition you describe is much better than the condition of my team.

The only Wardancer is dead.
The only Catcher is NI and misses the next game.
The only Thrower is NI and misses the next game.
One Lineman misses the next game.

8 unskilled Linemen are left behind to fight for the next game.

So calm down because this team is more than almost killed. This team is wasted before it was born!

Since "normal" woodelf starting team is 10 linemen and one wardancer, four linemen dead and the wardancer -st leaves six linemen to play the next game. And seven the next, whereas you'll have 11 for your thrid game, given no further injuries. So i'm going to side with Cederlund here. Wink

10 Linemen and 1 Wardancer is not "Normal" for me.

I also prefer to play a team with 6 Linemen and 1 Wardancer -st than a team with 8 Linemen, because for me, the Wardancer can do the job of 3 Linemen, since he has Block, Dodge, Leap and more Movement than a Lineman and only less Strainght than the Lineman.

You can't change my mind on this Smile
