I do not think that pushing a Prone player onto ball with Ball&Chain should be a turnover, as the Prone player does not attempt a pick up. If this occurs with the client, it may be a bug, I think. |

you missunderstand. We were talking about the rule where the ball and chain player moves on the the square with the ball, it causes a turn over. This is handled correctly in the client. We were just saying it is a poor rule. |

Garion: Maybe indeed. I understood the above as pushing a Prone player on the ball (and bounces). No Hands skill should only apply if the player attempting the pick up has it. |

Pushing and injuring your prone player isn't turnover by the rules. |

A bit of a necro, but something similar occurred in a game I just played. I hit my own player with ball & chain and PoW'd my player prone. The client then caused a turn-over. I read the ball & chain rules, and I didn't see where it says that knocking your own players prone causes a turn-over.
Am I missing something, or is there another rule in the book I'm not thinking about that states knocking your own players prone causes a turn-over? |

Yep, you are. There are overarching turnover rules.
However it is in the same rulebook. |

So the same goes for Bomber, Wizard, TTM causing your own player to go prone? |

The rules are very clear, in the TURNOVERS chapter
Quote: |
The following events cause a turnover:
1) A player of the moving team is Knocked Down
|
Thus, unless a special rule state otherwise, when a player is KNOCKED DOWN, it's a turnover
As an example, in the right stuff rule it says:
Quote: |
A failed landing roll or landing in the crowd does not cause a turnover, unless he was olding the ball
|
It is very clear for me. If you're knocked down, it's a turnover, unless there is a special rule that prevent it |
