Oh my! Crossdressers are in the final. WHO would had thought that? Well, not me to be sure. I had the dice, and shogun_france played better in general over the game. I did some silly mistakes but nuffle was very kind to us. The "major" power of the girls are strong it proves once again, and they managed to pull off a win in ot. Lypsinka pretty much won me the game, with two massive hits on the strong wolfs, and another two cas on 14 blocks. Thanks for an intense and exciting semifinal shogun_france! Now, off to the final! |

A very fun, if damaging foray into the FUMBBL Cup. I knew the game would be an uphill struggle so made the most of it. Skink fouls are fun and stab against AV7 isn't truly awful. Also the highest number of sepctators I've personally seen made the effort so thanks to them too, and apologies for not being very good! lol

The dressers were in a good mood. The woodies didn't have tons of special equipment with them or any freaks in the team. And it was a lucky good solid game from the girls side. Did what coach wanted them to do, make one silly setup-mistake which led to a fast td from the woodies at the start of 2nd half. But some important hits and fouls sealed the game pretty much. It was hard work for the woodies most of the time, with pretty crappy dice on top of that.
Thanks for a good chat as well! Rematch anytime.

OH MY GOD! FINALLY!
Those were my first thoughts when I realised that the girls were up to face debog. Such a great honor!
I got two skills after the last game, and took tackle on st4-ballcarrier and guard on a blitzer, which all was meant to bring down debog. It was 13 girls vs 5 great vamps and 8 rookie thralls. It really could end any way. I was in a good mood, and was aiming to have fun.
I took a dirty card, and got Custard Pie, in other words Hypnotic Gaze on an opponent for one turn. In the end, it did help me.
Vamps recieve, I got Perfect D. Vamps goes fairly aggressively and leaves a possibility... Hold on, 1,2,3 assists after a block, and I would had 2 dice with my st4-pomber on a niggled debog...!! AND I KILL DEBOG, then apo gives him, I think it was -av or -move. Still out I had the time to think! BUT regen is there and saves the one and only debog. But he is out for the whole first half since I manage to steal the ball after azyx goes solo with a vamp and the ball down the sideline for a fast score. But I manage to knock the vamp over and the ball scatters perfectly into the arms of my superstar-catcher. Then I manage to hold the ball, and the last 3 turns one vamps uses Jump Up, piles on over a girl and lays down again. I can't really use another foul since my dp was sent off and I am afraid to loose players too fast.
All vamps and thralls are back for 2nd half.
Only one dp-girl is rejected, the rest of them are there.
So I receive the ball, tries to go down one side, doesn't really work, the vamps close in, I realize that hypno with pro very soon will get messy and suddenly debog is in front of my ball carrier. Highway closed. BUT - I have the card, so WE HYPNO the great debog, and rush past him. However, Lypsinka snakes on the following dodge, leaving the ball fairly open. And boom, the ball is loose. And girls and vamps swarm all over it. Suddenly a vamp manages to get the ball loose, and is just about to handoff to the great debog, but he doesn't manage to catch it, and rr is already used. The scatter is perfect for me, I clear the path and a move7-girl grabs the ball with some problems and makes a gfi without rr. Phew. After that vamps try to get after me, but debog SNAKES on a dodge! Debog, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!? He surely didn't have his best game. Probably one of his worst actually.
I manage to bring down the potential scorer and have 4 girls to backup the solo-thralls attempt for the draw. But then I fail the winning dodge and the ball is loose. But of no real use for the vamps. Since the thrall doesn't manage to dodge free - and the game is over. In the last turn I walk in 2-0.

My girl Lypsinka killed debog today. Apo made it to a nasty perm. Regen worked. Just wanted you all to know who you battle.
Nuffle. I "just" want to win two straight games with Crossdressers. Its totally fine with me to loose vs some, say cds, when we are 8 teams left. Ok nuffle?!

But the Buccs hadn´t a single tackler, were 11 man + a nasty ogre, and the bets in the FC-thread held Crossdressers as the winners of the game. I wasn't as sure...
And I was right! Painstate had a cunning plan, bringing an extra dp to the field, and it did make a difference.
Humans receive, directly hit me very hard and I apo a 2-skill-catcher from a perm. All for the win!
And they keep on laying in hard hits and... AND in turn 3 an ag4 wrestle human blitzes... WHAT?!? My ballcarrier (+st-catcher with 78 spps), rolls both down, and without any assist kills my superstar with the boot. I am stunned. WHAT? She had ss, but the wrestler sure did his job.
And from that it felt like uphill for many turns.
But PS decides not to score with his catcher, instead trying to rip-boot my st4-pomber without any success. I manage to break the ball loose, and a VERY evil scatter for the humans goes into the audience and in a perfect spot for me to score. Which the girls manages to do in turn 8.
10 humans vs 11 girls for 2nd half and the girls receive.
A blitz! Putting pressure on me directly, still feels like uphill without facing a single tackler, its all very confusing and I really have to concentrate to not loose a fairly focused mind.
I still have the ball, loose it from a very nice wiz from the humans, have to re-wiz a rookie human catcher to get it back, and then I continue to have the ball in my possession for the rest of the game, going down, and up on one side, and back again. But I fail my securing dodges. And it feels like dodging with mummies, it feels, obviously it wasn't that bad dice at all, but it felt like that. You all know what I mean...
And I am forced to go all the way back to my on scoreline in the end of the game, the Buccs has a shot for two dice on ball with wrestle, he needed 4 gfis and a dodge (with dodge) I think, but snakes on the second gfi. And its almost over. I try to secure the ball in the corner and in turn 16 one human blitzer tries to go through the defensive line but fails. Game over.
It was DAMNED TENSE. A great thrilling hard-hitting and well-visited game. Had it all really. Except for overtime. Thank heaven for that!
Thanks for a great time Painstate, it sure could had ended any way this one, and I don't feel I deserve a win, atleast not before a hard-fought overtime that never came. Rematch anytime!
Blood Sea Buccaneers coach comments:
Buccaneers go down in the round of 32.
It was a tight match to the very last turn as the Buccaneers laid into the ladies in skirts and controlled the tempo of the match the entire time.
The game came down to 4 critical turns and the Buccaneers lost 3 of them. T6 of not being able to do a thing after our catcher retreats back to the Buccaneers main thrust instead of going for the Touch down.
T7 and once again the Buccaneers can not get one action to work, finally go for the ball to attempt to score and it goes OB and then 11 paces towards out endline and gifts the gals in pink a easy score.
Finally get something going with the wizard and punch out the ball and make our move to tie.
But alas on the Bucs Turn 15 to finally get the ball back and send this to OT the double 1 comes out and seals our fate.
Fun match and good luck to the dressers in the round of 16, they are going to need it after the pound of flesh we took out of them.

For the record: I just used my potion on one of my girls. That means I will auto-win my game vs those dreaded kAoS! Its a rule. Somewhere.
And - IF I win, the girls have managed to get to top-8 in all but one major(!). So you bet I want to win this one ;-D
And so do you, since you love old and stubborn teams (with women in them).
And - my girls most common enemy is... yes, you guessed right. Chaos. 24 of 39 wins. Now you can go betting!

But - after doing some math, it turns out that I REALLY want to win this game. If I would, then Crossdressers would had made it to 5 Top-8 appearances in majors, in 4 different tourneys.
So I use THE potion!
Yes, the potion! And boys, was it worth it? It sure was! Stålhammar´s 2nd sister manages to sink her 7cm-nails (nails! not claws!) deep into the ankle (apo saved Uhlor from a certain death of bloodloss) of 207spp-move8-goat Uhlor in the middle of the game. Ka-boom!
I can't really remember all the details now, I just write down some random stuff.
I was lucky. Way more lucky.
Andrea got killed on the first block of the game. Ka-pow!
Chaos recieved, but I managed to dodge once, 2 gfis, and bring down the orc ballcarrier and with some luck I managed to rush in the ball in turn 7 of first half.
I, however, forgot Uhlor and the intern attempt so my setup was awful. My biggest mistake in the game. But a very nice kick, and the ball didn't reach Uhlor after some chain pushing on the girls first. And OH - KAPOW! Uhlor is down, hurt and out as the last thing of first half.
Second half chaos manages to get a good aggressive defense on the girls. But when we are close to our own end zone, we use the wiz on the clawpomber, pass the ball to a blitzer and onerous-blitzes a rookie goat, and a fairly free rush alone for the win.
I made the important rolls when it mattered, and that decided the game.

I bought the wiz. Costly, since it fizzed in the breathtaking last turns of the game ;-D
I received and "managed" to out-dice Strider the whole first half. I made the most mistakes in the game. Coach-wise Strider should had won. But most people would probably say I had the stronger team on the paper, and the girls, together with the unfair dice, won me the game.
I did 1-0 in turn 8, and Strider´s oneturnattempt was good, but I intercepted....
In 2nd half Strider removed 3-4 girls fast, and I was sure we looked at ot. But I managed to hit back (harder) and forced a score, giving me 4 turns to win the game. And it was tense, it was scary, but scatters (and mostly all except a fizzed wiz) gave me the win. Strider had a 5+3+shortpass (and 2+2+2+with catch and sure feet) for the win in the last turn but failed the 5+ pickup. I managed to block my path free, picked the ball up and ran it in with a gfi.
Great chat and trashtalk, and a good game. Sorry for the late start and the bad connection. Vacation had its role in this game too, I had travelled 10 hours before the game and was pretty exhausted. Do not intend to do that again in a quarterfinal in FC!

debog in round 4, the Buccs round 5, KingRoyale´s solid chaos round 6, Red Corsair round 7 (quarterfinal) we are up to face shogun_france´s necros in the semi! Good fun!
Two very nasty dogs surrounded by a strong fleshie and wight. Exactly same tv (1910) but mafiosa powa decides to take an extra player just minutes before the game and before we ready our teams. I decide to do nothing.
shogun_france is first out and transfers the wiz-money. I decide to pay 200 tv to take a card extra, and the wiz.
shogun_france receives first and goes down one side. I manage to force a fast score from the necros, turn 3, since most of the necro-team didn't manage to follow the fast wolfs, and from the fact that my ballstealer manages to wrestle the ball loose just before. So I have 6 turns to even the score before halftime.
It doesn't go too well. I don't get my most of my team to follow, and the necros manages to split us up. I have to dodge a lot (and... I don't think I failed a single dodge in the entire game....) The stronger wolf gets two easy dice on ball (I totally miscounted with two squares...) and then its quite messy. And the wolfs manages to steal the ball back, great play! And I don't score in the first half. My own fault there.
But in my turn 7 Lysinka manages to get two dice on the +st wolf Sandra and gives her a Smashed Ankle (no women in other teams!). Regen fails.
So only one wolf for 2nd half. Very important.
I recieve and manages with luck and a silly onedice block to remove 3 zombies in the first turn. shogun_france leaves the field open and I rush it down. But he comes back, defends bravely, and the wiz goes Boom! Ball is loose. Pikashu the wolf manages to pow my ballcarrier with -2dice, ball to the crowd and the not so cool fleshie catches the ball! But he can't be protected, so I manage to protect the ball quite easily the rest of the half, and in my last turn (16) Lypsinka again manages to hit a wolf, this time Pikashu (who has been great the whole game) and gives the legend wolf a Smashed Knee, regen fails. Both wolfs, in the last turns of each half by the same girl. If that girl isn't a hunter....
Overtime and I get the ball.
And with some patience since I had the better team at this point, and more players, I manage to rush it down one side and score in turn 6 of ot.
It was some one-sided dice in this game for sure, I expected to fail more and use my wiz and pit trap, but I kept calm in the tricky situations. 7 vs 1 in cas says a lot of course. Although regen did a good job, but NOT on the game-deciding wolfs!

I had the luck this one, you will sure beat me the next time.
