I was playing in a small Warmachine tournament this morning and it made me think; what if there was a blood bowl tournament where instead of just one team, you bring your TWO best teams and decide which team to use each round after seeing who your opponent will be and what his two teams are? Probably included would be the stipulation that you also have to use each team at least once by the end of the tournament.
Yay? Nay? Suggestions/improvement? |

As long as it is the same race with different rosters, yes. |

I have an alternate that i want to try soo - every coach brings a roster and figures.
For each round the rosters are randomly assigned so that (for example) in a 4 game tournament you will play 4 differnt races/team rosters, none of which may be your own creation. |

Seems fun, expecially if they weren't the same race imo.
Real point of turning in this is just one:
who of the two coaches has to decide what team he will pick, first? |

Neither. You both pick at the same time just based on what you think the other person might take. Makes for lots of mind games. |

Chaos/Nurgle will be chosen all the time then at a high TV tournament. |

There is a TT tournament that sort of does this. Two teams you must use 3 times each over 6 games. It's fun, but I don't know about it for FUMBBL. |

I'd like to see a double round robin option.
Just like a regular round robin, but all teams meet each other twice during one season. |

Yeah, that would be a good option. |

It's quite pointless in BB. Infinity and Warmachine have different missions and both of your choices come from the same faction. It's always the same goal in BB and just about the only races that would have a worthwhile choice would be bash teams with an anti bash and anti elf set up. Plus having two teams of the same race would take forever to skill up. |

I'm submitting a support ticket for that.
Alternatively, all numbers in the tournament table editable. |

I like the idea of a home and away game, with some advantage to the home team, like having the crowd or extra inducements |

Only with 2 additions:
1. It is non progression plus resurrection type tournament, so it is not about skilling up 2 teams through open play, but metagaming properly.
2. Only 1 player chooses. Like the away team is fixed for each round, and they are alternating. Example, where I have orc and skaven as 2 teams with 1100 TV-d resurrection teams:
- 1st round: I have to play with orcs
- 2nd round: I chose my team, whereas the opponents team is fixed and scheduled.
- 3rd round: I have to play with skaven
- 4th round: I chose my team, whereas the opponents team is fixed and scheduled.
This is the way I would set up. Otherwise I would be not interested in it. |
