Here we go FUMBBL fans the final 8 of the GLT. Oh, this round is going to be a lot of fun. As you will see Iam predicting this just might be the most awesome final 8 in a major in a long time. Lets take a look at the matches.
TOP BRACKET
 Red Corsair
VS
 Teachers of the True Teaching
This should be a very entertaining match. Both teams are looking stout and it is an even TV match, so no inducement madness to throw a wrench into the works. I can make the case that either team will win this one, this match is a coin toss.
Now there is one area of weakness that needs to be pointed out. The Corsairs are MNG on their thrower, their only SureHands player to keep the ball away from the Teachers StripBall specialist. That will force the Corsairs to play in a very tight pack when on offense to protect the ball which will give the Darkies all kinds of space to work with on defense looking for that “hole”.
In the end the Darkies somehow find a way to get the defensive turn over and turn this match on its head.
Teachers win this 2-1
 Ugly and Dumb
VS
Black Jewels
On paper the Undead look like the stronger team and I think it plays out on the pitch like that. The Jewels have some nice players but nothing that jumps off the sheet as a real game breaker.
This match is going to be interesting because I think the Jewels are going to have a really rough go of it on defense trying to pop that ball out, I don’t think they can. If they cant then the Undead are just going to “lean” on them and most likely start snapping some Dark Elves necks.
The path to victory for the Jewels is winning the coin toss in OT and 2 turn score to start out the extra time.
This match has OT written all over it but my magical 8 ball tells me the undead win the OT coin toss and lumber down field and win this one in Turn 4. 2-1 Ugly and Dumb advance to the final 4.
Down in the lower bracket
 Run with the Pack
VS
 Brutal Cherry Pickers
Run with the Pack is down to one wolf and that is no Bueno. They will be getting some inducement money so the Wizard is most likely in order for the Pack. They can win this but that wolf needs to play all 16 turns and go off on the dwarfs.
Pickers are looking good and feel confident in this one. Once that wolf exposes himself they jump all over him and depitch him fast and slowly grind down field for the easy win.
Yet I have this gut feeling, this match is going to be dice insanity, strange dice events will happen, insane rolls of bad luck and good luck, coaches will be screaming to the heavens and the specs will witness NUFFLE in all his glorious chaos.
This match will come down to one roll of the die and somehow and some way Run with the Pack will advance 2-1. Leaving the Cherry pickers wondering what the hell just happened?

VS
 ENI
Well this match jumps off the page as a one sided event. The fans are gleeful in the streets walking around singing:” HEHEHE, HOHOHO, Uusiverikulho is going to roll!!!!”
BUT these followers of Nurgle have seemed to overlooked that ENI is getting 740K in inducement money!!!!!
HOLY MOLEY that is a large stash of gold coins. Right off the bat 2XBabes, 1Apoth and a wizard for 350K seems a no brainer. Make the Nurgle scumm get CAS in the first half, KO do not help them. ENI might have a full roster going into the second half if the Injury checks are kind. That leaves 390K for other goodies to buy.
ENI does have 3 guys with C/MB so they dish out some hurt, get some lucky shots in on those Pestigors and Nurgle Warriors and suddenly this match opens up BIG TIME.
Heck with it, Iam going ALL IN!!!!! ENI pulls this one out, stacks the Nurgle Scumm into those CAS boxes as regen is “OFF” and they roll them.
ENI wins 2-0 and stuns the BLOOD BOWL world.
More Stunning is that if Milfords predictions come true then all the front runners entering the main draw will all be OUT, losers, sitting at home with pink pony fluffy foot warmers on and screaming to the heavens and cursing NUFFLES name in long winded drunken rants. |

Well in my humble defense I did say the Corsair VS Teachers match was a toss up, could pick either team.
I went with the Teachers because of the StripBall and lack of surehands on the Corsair.
My prediction was spot on, that was were the game was going to be decided and it was.
2 times in the match the Teachers punched the ball out on a Stripball. I did not factor into my prediction that both times the ball was popped out that a Corsair would catch the loose ball.
Both teams played as expected, since both of them are good teams, sometimes matches come down to 2 times the bouncing spiked ball ls caught by the wrong team.
That is how Blood Bowl go sometimes. |

Good Morning Blood Bowl fans! Humans made it to the final of GLT...whoooohooo! Unbelievable! 7-0 record so far...can they make it 8-0? Best Human performances in Majors during CRP era have been 5-1 three times and one of them was Red Corsairs run in 2514 FUMBBL CUP...so, Red Corsairs best human team ever in CRP? Sure!

The team is standing at 15 players roster and in PENDING status. So, Will coach Strider84 hire a new catcher to replace Tom "The Fox" Greeneye for the final?
Will Red Corsairs be able to overcome the lost of Tom "The Fox" Greeneye & Threefoot?
Are those nasty nurgles going to be too much for them if they get to the finals?

So, this is a question to the remaining coaches/runners of the tournament.
I recently asked cKnoor (that guy who streams Blood Bowl) in his Sunday Blood Bowl stream if he would be willing to stream the finals of the Grotty little tournament. He said he would be open to it, but obviously he would want the permission of the coaches to cast their game, and would need to know when it is scheduled to happen.
Would the coaches remaining be okay with cKnoor casting their finals game?
What is the currently expected date of the finals matchups? |
