Evening chaps,
I'm stuck on a laptop that has been "upgraded" from Windows 7 to 10 at the moment. Firefox is the browser.
When I attempt to click the "spectate" button and launch the client, it does the usual and asks whether to save or to open with a program. I've had a go with both Java.exe in Program Files and Program Files (x86), and a few of the other .exe's in the two Java folders, but nothing will start the client. Any help?
Cheers, Mauled. |

When the file downloads have you tried clicking on it to open/run the file? With my Firefox I get an arrow in the top right corner which shows all the stuff I've downloaded. |

I have windows1o and have no issues with the client.
Might be something as simple as removing java and reinstalling it. |

Yes Garion, either way (choose program straight away, or save it and click on the downloaded .jnlp file) it asks me to choose a program to run.
On a tangent, as someone more used to XP, the whole "app"-isation of Windows is pretty terrifying. |

Correct file is "javaws.exe" (web start). If you have latest JRE installed it should register the file for .jnlp handler and use it automatically. Win 10 here and no problems at all. |

The latest Java version is always the best choice. |

Well years went by when the 'latest' wouldn't work at all, but I take your point. |

Just got a new laptop with Windows 10 on it. Game opens fine, but the windows are tiny. I've heard about other people having this issue, is there a fix? |

You can change your screen resolution or use the magnifier tool that comes with windows. |
