Hi all,

This thread is for announcements, discussion and questions regarding HUBBA 2. I've created it to replace the old thread because I cannot edit that one, and it would be sad to remain with Season 5 forever.

Match reports can go in the existing Match report thread.

Fluff and graphics can go in the Fluff thread.

Main action should be here: let's return to the recruitment thread once there's next recruitment drive.

Can't imagine anybody being unhappy with those teams. I love how ianuk77 got the team he hoped for while being the last to be assigned a team. Good stuff!

All new teams were applied on time. Well done to everyone!

It means that we won't need assistance of people on the waiting list. Not yet, anyway.

We'll start the season on Thursday, Dec 17 at 20:00 bbtime.

"Fli Iggles fli
On da roed 2 Viktoree.
Fli Iggles fli,
Skor a tuchdowwn 1,6,3.
Heet 'em low, Heet 'em hi,
Und wach ar Iggles fli.
Fli Iggles fli,
On da roed to Viktoree!

Black Orc Blocker Reggie WAAAGHte leads his team mates and fans in the team fight song following their 2-0 win over the Prissy Ogre team. In the game WAAAGHte caused 3 Casualties allowing him to better learn how to execute Blocks. Team mate Blitzer Ron Jaworcski scored his second TD of his career (scored one in the friendly) and was blessed with more speed by Nuffle. Passer Randall Orcingham, who scored the Iggles' first TD was injured in the game and will be missing the next one. Thankfully it was nothing permanent.

The play of the game had to be when on Turn 7 of the first half, Tackle Breaking Ogre Deitrich, while carrying the ball (after catching the pass from fellow Ogre Monroe), attempted to Blitz Iggles Goblin "Orc" Allen. The result was Skull/Both Down. On the Both Down result "Orc" gets the best of the Ogre and sends him to the BH box while only knocking himself prone.

Game MVP for the Iggles went to Blitzer Brian DWAAAGHkins most likely for his usual team leadership and inspirational play as his stat line only consists of 2 blocks the entire game.

As a side note the Vogueres Monroe had a completion and a casualty (the hit on Orcingham) and their game MVP went to Snotling Fred Astaire, who while only made 1 block on his stat line, showed survivability dancing around the pitch for the entire game and being just 1 of 2 snotlings to last the entire game.

Great inaugural game hissa-lives. Thanks for the fun. Now let's go out here and beat up on some Elves, Rats, and Traitorous UW Gobbo's (how dare those greenskins team up with those filthy rats.) Oh yeah and we can't forget the Drunken Norse. Keel them too!

The season comes to a close, and here are the possibilities for promotions and relegations that the teams face. Remember: the top 2 places of a division get promoted automatically, and 3rd and 4th place enter a play-off, whose winner gets promoted. The bottom 3 places of a division get relegated to a division below.

Of course, it all assumes that no team will leave after the season.

Squiggers Division 3

Hubba Lucky Looters will surely be promoted. They hold the first place, and only if Hu bba Feck wins, they'll come in second.

Hu bba Feck holds another firm position. They can top the division if they win, and the only chance they can leave top 2 is if they lose, and Running Jump win, and the total of Feck's touchdowns conceded to Jump's touchdowns scored comes to 5 or more.

So that's the game of Running Jump: win big to get to the second place and the guaranteed promotion. But in any case their spot in the promotion play-off is sealed.

Position of PhilaWAAAGHphia Iggles is a little less certain: they can leave the play-off spot if they lose their game, and Undegobo Warsaw win theirs. Undegobo can hope to get to the play-off spot, but just their win isn't enough: Iggles have to lose as well.

Other teams will stay in the division for the next season.

Elf's Fargo Division 2
My own Biting the World are on the top now, but they can fall as low as the third place: this will happen if they lose, and Vulcanians Galythe khors win.

Lizards from Outer Space have to win in order to be sure of promotion. If they tie or lose, they will either stay on the second place (provided the Khors won't win), or enter the promotion play-off. In any case, their shot at a promotion is guaranteed.

Vulcanians Galythe khors are guaranteed to be in the play-off. They can get to Top 2 if they tie or win, and the Lizards lose.

Oldin's Guild can either lose their play-off spot (if they lose and the Cowboys-Banshees game is not a tie), or reach Top 2 as well: if they win and the Lizards lose.

Skull Crushing Cowboys and Lowland Banshees are in a similar position, and probably have it toughest: the winner of their game will get a chance for a play-off (if the Guild ties or loses), but the loser will go straight to relegation. The Banshees should hope for a win, because even a tie won't save them from the relegation.

Hubba Hoppers and Hubba Hubba have had an unlucky run this season, so they'll meet the next one in the lower division, regardless of the outcome of their game.

Greenness Division 1
(Here I assume that Green Midwinter get their win by forfeit.)

Dead Mans Hollow AFC are an undisputed champion. Whatever comes, they don't lose their first place. (Maybe they were a bit lucky to get paired against two no-shows... Or maybe they were far-sighted to have poisoned those coaches.)

Pestilence Plague POWER, Quatar Conquerors, and Hubba Bubbalicious all have a decent shot for the second place.

Tuck Shoppers are in a middle position, but they may join the relegation camp if they lose against the Midwinter. (This will be a game to watch, with close to 900k worth of inducements.)

Hardy Perennials and Green Midwinter should win in order to avoid the relegation, though even both win, one of them won't be able to escape.

And UbbaDubbaBubbas will be welcomed in the Division 2, regardless of the outcome.
