Stonetroll told me that the XFL Masters is considered a major tournament.

Sadly no. The lizards did not play the xfl, I was using them for majors.

The prize is a free positional, so any player you can normally hire. It will be added on request at any time in the future.

To play on the xenophobe theme, maybe if you win a player from the opposing race they should come with Animosity? Or is that such a drawback that no-one would ever take one?

I don't think a positional from another race fits the Xenophobe theme, plus that's GLT's thing...

Fan Favorite spam would be fluffy, funny and unique.

How about a Positional with 11SSP to start, that way they have their first Skill and an MVP gets them their second. It could even be set as a Normal Skill that the Admins can add instead of a roll.
