Hi!
I want to be sure if I understand well the configuration for a new tournament I'm planning.
So, if I put:
Win Draw Loss
Game 3 1 0
Forfeit 3 0
Min For Agnst Max
TD 0 1 1 3
Cas 0 1 1 3
Minimum
0
a) If a team A vs B is 3-0 td / 0-4 cas
Team A will have 3 point (3 for win, 3 for Td, -3 for Cas)
Team B will have 0 point (0 for lost, -3 for Td, +3 for cas)
b) If a team A vs B is 2-1 td / 1-3 cas
Team A will have 2 point (3 for win, 1 for Td, -2 for Cas)
Team B will have 1 point (0 for lost, -1 for Td, +2 for cas)
c) If a team A vs B is 2-2 td / 2-1 cas
Team A will have 2 point (1 for tied, 0 for Td, +1 for Cas)
Team B will have 0 point (1 for tied, 0 for Td, -1 for cas)
That's correct?
Thanks in advance! |

It looks like you have done your calculations right. Your scoring system is unusual in that TD diff and Cas diff are actually contributing to the points scored rather than just being a tie-breaker (like goal difference in football/soccer).
Your scoring system rewards TDs and Cas and the result becomes less significant. It means getting a 'big win' is more important than consistency. winning TD by three and Cas by three is the magic win for 9 points and -6 points for the loser. In a small league a single thrashing could write off one tea early and give the winning team an unassailable lead... |

The usual tiebreaker (and the one fumbbl uses by default) is:
ΔTD + ΔCas/2
