Sorry if this is the wrong place or there is somewhere this is available. But what speeds are required for the game to run fine over the internet. I am asking as I have wifi at work but it can run rather slow and I don't want to start a game and risk it being a hassle to my opponent. Cheers.

Only ping matters mate. Games generally use little bandwith.. this one isn't different. And it's round based so ping doesn't have to be super great either... Just should be good enough for you not to run into constant disconnects.
You can just try to spectate a game that is running and from that you will see if your connection is stable.

Yup, if you can watch, you can play. Sometimes unstable WIFIs causes troubles, or the compression on the connection, but that is about it.
