I'm going to lock it on page 30 just to avoid it. |

That Sir would be a direct attack towards the literary arts. Keats would be turning in his grave! |

so no more poetry before emerging-star-level for this thread?
we already got a play at experienced-level!
what do we get at legendary-level, though? a musical?
Or maybe a limerick? |

ok, couldn't resist my own temptation (it's somewhat stolen from that limerick-thread)...
There once was a coach here on fumbbl
‘was new to the site, but not humble
Some match was quite hard to bear
So he cried out: That is unfair
And if you object I will crumble |

Unfortunately the game has long been dominated by ruthless power gamers to the point where those people that played chess differently just left. And the new people who joined did not know to play it any other way. |
I don't think this works, but kudos for the idea.
Chess is a 'pure' game; there are no random factors, it's a game of pure logic and forward planning. Blood bowl, and other games with multiple random aspects, thrive on their chaotic elements.
Chess is an abstract game; it uses pieces not characters, it has players not coaches.
Hope that makes sense. |

hmmm, maybe because some have more patience? |
Patience for nonsense? But it's not patience is it? The issue was resolved fairly quickly, then it was just a bunch of people spitting out their nonsense opinions on a nonsense topic which had already been answered. |
I have listened to your opinion, and your well thought out and well rounded argument. Please allow me to retort.
