Today I tried to blitz with a treemen, but it took root. Eventhough it took root I still believe it can block. There's no obligation to move when you blitz. |

Not a bug, is how Take Root skill works:
"If a player fails his Take Root roll as a part of a Blitz Action he may not block that turn (he can still roll to stand up if he is Prone)." |

Explicitly said on Take Root -skill, that if player fails Take Root roll as part of a Blitz-action he may not block that turn.

To elaborate, throwing a block as part of a blitz action takes a movement point. Taking root makes your movement points go away. So a block action still can block, but blitzes don't. |
