They say a tie is like kissing your sister. In this case, that just might be true.

Twas a grim faced crew of scallywags hoisting sail with Cap'n Kidd after an awful ambush the previous voyage. The lovelorn elves came at us fast and feirce with a broadside blast of buckshot to rattle many a weaker man's nerve. Not this crew though! With a tightening of the jib and a wild yell to to the lads, this scurvy crew of cutthroats settled down to some hard bloody infighting as they boarded and then ransacked the enemy vessel. With a final howl we swung back across, pushed her clear and packed the big pounder. It was with a final powerful blast that we scuttled We do it for love and sailed for home.

<b>HAMBURGER HELPER 1 vs SLAVES OF CHAOS 0</b>

Today's meal ....... beastman. We prepared the dish quickly under the bright sun. Stealing the pigskin for our own needs. A warrior attended univited so we knocked him down and stomped on his balls before mother called us in for half-time.

After lunch, we prepared dinner. The dinner table was overcrowded with beastmen and Cathup made a quick escape with the ball. He scored, we ate. The beasts came back for desert. They had none. We stole the pigskin again and put it in the freezer for another time.

ahhhh rat stew next week .....how lovely.

Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team 2 - 1 Slaves of Chaos (OT)
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=495744

After our last match against the beardy mundanes it was good to see a team take the pitch who looked like they knew how to party. They even brought their own cow! Kinnnn-ky! (or perhaps kine-ky...)

It was a good day to be dead although it didn't start out looking that way. The first half was largely marked by a lackluster performance by the unconventional conventioneers. Columbia had been out late last night and was looking a little clueless, though she didn't really zone out until the second half, and a number of failed blocks and dodges saw the Slaves steal the ball away from us and score in the middle of the first half. President Nixon (who had an exceptionally good game, for him) managed to pick up the ball on the first try on the next drive but was unable to complete the pass to Riff-Raff, standing in the endzone, that would have tied the game (for once I can't really blame Tricky Dick, it was a long bomb and he did get it over there, although a trifle wildly, after intially bobbling).

We scored two casulties in the first half, a BH on beastman Fakorut the Tormented when Columbia made a valiant effort to prevent the Slaves' first half TD by taking out the ball carrier and an SI groin sprain on beastman Sonova. This set up our strategy for the second half: victory through attrition. The opposition undermanned, the deadites were able to build a screen that allowed former President Nixon to run the ball into the endzone (this seems to be his forte, too bad we gave him Pass....) to tie the game.

By the time overtime rolled around we had removed Lkalur the Wretched and Slaves' minotaur Bull the Stupid to the BH box as well and almost sent Soulsplitter the Overseer off the pitch with broken ribs, but the Slaves' apothecary intervened. Four men down, the Slaves were selected to receive the kick-off in overtime but Nuffle decided to toy with them cruelly and granted the deadites a blitz. After a brief scuffle for the ball, The Criminologist finally scooped it up and took it on a strange journey to the endzone for the winning TD.

Our fan factor issues continue. Despite causing five casulties and scoring two touchdowns we only managed to break even. Even our "Free Garter and Fishnets" promotion failed to bring in the crowds.

All was not lost, however. We finally raised enough money that we had to decide whether to buy a team re-roll or replace Riff-Raff with a more reliable handyman. Good, skilled help being hard to find Frank decided to retain his services for now and we bought the re-roll (which we look forward to seeing used up by former President Nixon....) This decision left us with enough spare cash for Frank to buy the eleven secret herbs and spices he needed to re-animate Dr. Everett Von Scott. We all look forward to the resumption of his stunt wheelchair driving performance during the half-time show....

Northern Raiders 0 - 3 Black Demons
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=501418

A crushing defeat for the Northern Raiders in a game where both teams struggled to see who had the worst dice.
The Raiders dropped like bowling pins off the pitch while managing to only KO a black orc in return.
The passing game of the Black Demons was truly stunning and both me and Barash screamed out in joy as he succeded catching a pass at the end of 1st half after countless tries and RR spent to catch the ball despite the accurate passes made by pro thrower Orlando.
Despite the Demons making the 2-0 TD in 2nd half the 4 remaining Raiders kept their spirits high and was aiming for a TD as they setup only to be countered by a blitz. After some tries the Demons managed to make another succesfull catch of the ball and only some incredible dicerolling in the end helped the Raiders threaten the ballcarrier. The Demons successfully disposed of the threat and secured the 3-0 win.

This game was probably the last for the Raiders big hope Eric the Red and lineman Rolf Ironfist.

Big kudos to barash for a great game. GL with the rest of the season.

<b>Sinister Urge 0 vs Khadrin Kannons 2</b>

A dreadfull game where the undead stood and watched as the dwraves slooowly inched the ball upfield. The team logo on the field is quite an accurate depiction.

Pretty soon we ran out of players and gave up the fight. To cap off the shitty night, I was tired and purchased a 5th rr rather than the 2nd flesh golem I was saving for.

Uckfay me

Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team 3 - 2 Warriors Of Woe
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=501974

The lockerroom was abuzz with gossip before the match. Magenta and Columbia had scouted the Warriors' last game and returned with tales of all the tasty, pretty little men they had seen. Janet, who doesn't like men with too many muscles, was shivering with antici........pation and even Dr. Frank had to admit they looked yummy in their tight little uniforms.

That was the team and we were happy to see them. Who knew that their entire fan base was composed of Ogres (well, they aren't the Junior Chamber of Commerce at any rate....)? Certainly not us, but we quickly found out as the starting whistle for the first half was blown and the Warriors' stands emptied (ours were already empty but for an entirely different reason...), their fans taking to the pitch and stomping the deadites into the turf.

Frank was knocked out (and stayed that way until mid second half). Rocky Horror was stunned. Eddie, Brad Majors (Geek!) and The Criminologist were all killed outright; a few minutes in the deep freeze revived Eddie but Brad and The Criminologist weren't so lucky and took that final, strange trip together. Janet was devestated and expressed complete surprise at this turn of events. We, however, believe the lady doth protest too much; we all had our suspicions about Brad. The Criminologist, on the other hand, always seemed like such a stodgy old pillar of moral rectitude....

After that, believe it or not, the Elves scored rather quickly. The main highlight of this half for the RHBBT was the fact that the Warriors' kept kicking the ball out of bounds so Tricky Dick didn't have to spend several turns trying to pick it up. Well, that and Magenta started her reign of terror, slicing through Elven armor like warm butter and eventually sending three of the dodgy bastards into the casulty boxes; her first victim was Nirethlar Greyglade, sent to the BH box. Despite these bright points, a lot of Elfy dodging and a bad block by Eddie saw the Warriors of Woe strip the ball away from former President Nixon and dash into the endzone. The Elves had only finished their fourth turn and already they were up 2-0.

Again the Elves kick-off and again we have a touchback. Magenta scores another casulty, this time fracturing Gariel Pathmaker's arm and sending him to the SI box and then scored another, sending Esllar Silverbow to the BH box. Despite this blood-letting, the Warriors managed to strip the ball away from the deadites and toss it downfield. With Nixon stunned Columbia planned to try and snag the ball and pass it down field to Riff Raff for a TD but Rocky Horror managed to muff a block to free her up before she got the chance.

Nuffle had already started to make up to us for that initial pitch invasion, our opponent would start the second half two points up but three men down. Already I couldn't complain too loudly, the first half had been bad but it had its good points for us as well. In the second half, however, GameAvatar was about the experience a Nuffle reaming I'm sure he'll remember for a very long time....

We received on the first drive. There was no touchback but Nixon managed to pick the ball up anyhow. Their lack of manpower was stretching them thin but the Warriors managed to cover our defenders and Wardaner Malendil Spawnslayer managed to leap over our line to blitz the ball carrier. However, he used a re-roll to stay on his feet after the leap and so didn't have it available when he rolled a SKULL on the block. Nixon then got so close to Magenta that even he couldn't miss (well, not with the PASS re-roll anyhow...) and she ran in our first touchdown.

We set up again and the deadites caught the Warriors flat-footed with a blitz. The ball was kind of deep but with Columbia's help Magenta managed to knock down the nearest Elven player and put a tackle zone on it when it landed. With the rest of the team tying up the Elves on the line of scrimmage the already undermanned Elf team was unable to bring many players to bear on the ball and when Liannor Freespirit fell and fractured his skull (the Warriors' apoth was able to save him), Magenta grabbed the ball and ran it in for our second touchdown. In three turns (plus the blitz) we had tied the game.

We set up again and again the Elves were caught flat-footed. This time the ball was much closer to the line of scrimmage and Riff-Raff managed to get under it easily and catch it when it came down. The Elves managed to keep from getting tied down quite so much this time and even managed to strip the ball away, but when they went to pass it Riff Raff managed to intercept. We screened the werewolf but even so a dodgy elf managed to reach the ball carrier and knock him down (meanwhile, in the backfield, Columbia put Athroth Brightblade into the BH box while he waited for a teammate to recover the ball and toss it to him). Through simple attrition the Elves weren't able to put enough men on the ball and, after a short tussle, a path was cleared for Riff Raff and he was able to grab the ball and run it into the endzone for what would be the winning touchdown.

We set up again and again the Warriors' fans displayed their savage side, grabbing the referee and dragging him into the stands, never to be heard from again. The Warriors tried valiently to tie the game but sheer numbers allowed us to cover and eliminate the receivers in any position to score and the Elves were reduced to throwing a quick pass just to pick up some SPPs as time expired.

You'd think this would be enough but Nuffle had one final twist of the screw in store for the Warriors and they received no money for the match!

Inexplicably our fan factor plummeted once more. We gave our fans maimed Elves! We scored three touchdowns! We turned our luck around to come back after a demoralizing first half and win a miraculous (albeit heavily Nuffled) victory! What do they want from us? More folk dancing?!? Fortunately fan factor can't drop below 1 (it can't, can it?) as we fully expect to have nowhere to go but up by the end of the cross-over rounds. On the plus side, Tricky Dick now has Sure Hands so he'll only be blowing his skill re-roll rather than one of the team's when he drops the ball from now on....

I think you need more dancing... the fans love when you "spontaneously" break into a group song and dance number. I know you did the time warp once, but try setting up your defense in a nice symmetrical dance-type pattern. You'll lose the match, but that FF will go straight up! Smile (Great posts btw)

Thanks! Smile

More dancing, huh? Well, it's a thought. As long as they don't ask us to Madison.

On the other hand maybe I can get Dr. Frank to whip up (in any sense you want to take that) a crowd for me. He told me that in just seven days he could make me a fan.... Rolling Eyes

<b>What's New in The MLB After Week #4</b>

<b><u>NA I</b></u>
The Kadrin Kannons look to be running away (or at least walking very slowly) with the division with a 4-0 start. They have already fended off the best competition but will surely be tested in the cross-over rounds. Ronald Roadrunner is the early MVP with 4 TDs and 14 SPPs.
Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team won a big match vs Warriors of Woe 3-2 to secure 2nd place. Most likely these 2 teams will be battling it out for a playoff spot.
Meanwhile Slaves of Chaos and Canada's rat cities are trying to gain some momentum for the 2nd half of the season.

<b><u>NA II</b></u>
Bullz On Parade also seem to have a lock on 1st place so far. Led by their all-star BC Stampy with 5 TDs, these CDs are a tough lot.
Sinister Urge and New York Giants will battle in week #5 for 2nd place. Though I'm not so sure this will be a good place to be for the cross-over games.
Illusion, led by Mirage Arcana, and Tails and Scales aren't far behind

<b><u>Euro</b></u>
Black Demons is another undefeated team looking for blood. Cartoonettes won a close game vs Blackrock Wardogs to move into 2nd place in the division.
Bendrig's halflings kept ther Seahawk Clan winless and the Northern Raiders are looking for replacements as ther medics helped clear the field of bodies.

<b><u>Aussie</b></u>
The league's closest division has the Scurvy Lads of Yore, Riverbottom Nightmare Band, and Tepoc's Chosen all within 2 points of 1st place.
The undead Scurvy have the league's 2 biggest brutes. Their terrifying mummies have combined for 12 CAS in the 1st 4 weeks.
Recycle of the Driun Dumpster Dwellers leads the league in SPPs (21) and TDs (6).

Well what can i say. The Wardogs took to the pitch and really didn't fancy their chances without one player learning how to tackle. It was gonna be tough. At the end of the match the Wardogs were gutted to lose. We woz robbed. Coulda, shoulda but couldn't pull off the win mainly due to a gutting ball scatter and some very precise single d blocks. If it can't get any worse we've got to take on the undefeated Demons next. Ho hum Shocked

CANADA RATS CITY FIRST VICTORY WITHOUT ANY DEAD ON THEIR SIDE!!!!

They finally did it. It was long, and hard. First half, the rats looked like they mistake their armour with the cheese they eat. The SLAVES OF CHAOS were all over them (and specially THROUGH them!) and before the half was over, it was 2-0 for the SLAVES. Then, after a pep talk by the coach (play better or I kill you kind of talk usually works with them....sometimes!)

2nd half, they remembered. they scored 2 times to force OT and received and scored in OT, much to the dismay of the Slaves. Even though they could not pick up the ball in the 1st half, it all changed afterward. Oh, and they are all happy to be alive, something that does not happen really often on that team!!!

Thanks to the Hawk for the game. Great guy...and fellow Canadian!!

Final Score: 3-2 for the Rats

Fourth Regular Season Game
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=507548
vs Skaven Team Canada's rat cities
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=88975
(Lost another O/T match 2-3, 16 spp)

Report to Chaos superiors by Soulsplitter the Overseer:
I suck and may have to sacrifice myself to make amends with the Chaos gods, the team went up 2-0 and after a rat comeback still had a chance to win it. The Chaos gods hate me and one of the smelly beasts tripped as he tried to cross the goalline in the final turn of regulation to win the game 3-2, instead we were forced into overtime and promptly ended up kicking off to a bunch of fast little rats. 2 turn score and the game is over. Finally got a few skills. I may have to sacrifice some beasts to Khorne to return into the favour of the holy one. Lkalur the Wretched will be spending the rest of his days screaming for salvation to Slice M. Up in our team recreation facility. Blood for the Blood God.

Thx Diamond, it was a good game.
