how far would you say it's ok to go when reporting abusive behavior?
from time to time I browse thru teams, matches and new coaches profiles. Sometime I stumble upon the usual badly named teams and I report it - although I have the feeling I'm pestering the admins somehow by giving them more stuff to review.
what would you do with "abusive" match reports? |

Bad behaviour breeds further bad behaviour so reporting early saves admins work.
Regarding name violations thats your choice. The site is fairly strict in my opinion. |

from time to time I see game commentaries that aren't properly.... sporty.
I know, sometime's hard to be nice, extremely hard, but in that moment there should be a trigger in your head telling you to refrain from posting. |

It's a shame because a bit of needle can add to the fun, but the problem is as ever few* know how to draw the line or control it and you can't have new people coming to the site and either getting abused or being abusive.
* I make no claims as to myself in this regard
There are unmonitored areas of FUMBBL to some degree so it does go on there as long as it doesn't get too bad, which is probably enough. |

Why did you think the match report someone wrote about one of your games was abusive? I've read it twice and can't see that it's particularly offensive. Am I missing something? |

is this about the goblin cheaters game??
https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4012389
coz that match report does not seem offensive to me, it does not call names, it mentions you complaining and a "foolishly fail" to protect the ball, but that is about it...
Is this about a different one?? |

Any excuse to bring that up
I have frequently been tempted to pen something similar but would just feel like a lame tribute act. |

There has to be a way to upvote a match report. I have long held this opinion, but now I am insistent. |

Yeah having a like/upvote option would be nice for reports. Maybe a few more will be written and read. As with blogs you would get a few who would take any option to downvote or vote low. |

Yah, I think that both teams and matches should have a single, undifferentiated upvote function. You could "like" a match report or "become a fan" of a team, but there's no other dimension (rating is okay for blog posts, not for match reports or teams), so the harshest thing you can do is take away your own existing like and be a null vote. This is how we do it for coaches: you can be "friends" or "not friends" and any differentiation beyond that is private between you and yourself. |
