Hey all,
Been looking for ways to jazz up my BB experience in recent times (feeling a bit stale) and I want to gauge interest to see if anyone would be interested in being involved with an adoption team? For those of you who do not know what this is, it is a team where a coach (one of you lovely people) selects a player and is (essentially) their career advisor.
A good example of what I mean can be found here.
In any event, I don't have any strong ideas in mind at the moment so I thought I would ask these questions of potential adopters;
1. Ranked or Box? (It might be a good way to get me back into the Box *shrug*)
2. Which race would people like it to be? I am trying to limit myself in what I try playing these days for several different reason I won't get into here but I am happy to hear suggestions. At the moment, I would think that something out of Chaos/HE/Nurgle/Necro/DE would probably be preferred, but I could possibly stretch it.
I will say now that I won't be entertaining the idea of a stunty team because I just know it would die as an idea quickly and I want to give myself the best chance of really getting it going.
Anyways, interested to know what you all have to say and hope it gives me something good to sink my teeth into.
Cheers. |

1) Box of course, it goes without saying .
2) High Elves because in the Box they are the least common race of your selection.
Otherwise, just randomly pick one of those races.
You might even try to fill the Box grid with that race as additional incentive. |

Sure, count me in on this.
I'd take Necro or DE, because those are the races I find most enjoyable on that list. If you end up with these, I want a wolf or a witch.
And Box, Ranked, doesn't matter. The point is to play something silly where other people control your fate. Box just means you won't need to rely on someone accepting your pings on gamefinder, so would probably be the division where you'll get to play the roster more. |

I vote high elves.
Necro and Nurgle has exciting positionals, but the people who adopt zombies and rotters wont have much chances to shine, if that makes sense?
There's a DE and Chaos adoption team already. Which leaves HE as the best option imo |

It doesn't hugely bother me if there is one of that race already to be honest. But I do agree with you that certain choices are a nightmare because of their linos.
If I am honest, (And this is not trying to influence things) Chaos lend themselves well to this as their linos have good access and they don't have any AV7.
They do have the potential nightmare of a Mino though...

Whichever team you choose, I want in. (preferably a positional)
Box for chaos. High Elf for ranked.
(Human or Pact could also be fun for this.) |

Well when the time comes I'll put out feelers for who wants what.
By the way, it won't be Pact. They don't agree with me in the slightest! |

All the more reason to take them! I thought the original post referred to you needing to broaden your scope? |

Not broaden my scope, Cloggy. It was to freshen things up. I'm not so sure that playing a race I haven't ever really enjoyed is the way to go.
The suggestion is perfectly fine though and will stay if anyone wants to second it. Just not my preferred option is all.
Those who I chat with regularly may even go so far as to say I have absolutely hated my time with them. |

That's a shame. The broad skill access of Pact (and UW) teams makes them so well suited for an adoption format. Obviously, you need to go with something fun. Playing an adoption team can be hard enough as it is.
Have fun! And I will gladly adopt a player. |

Lovely!
I am sure they would be great with a wide range of players, good skill access and whatnot. It's just not for me at the moment.
Look forward to locking in a race soon so that people can get some players going!
Thanks for the support Cloggy! |
