Updated the record book after some research into all the match records of the Fumbbl Hall-of-Famers

added such records as Most completions, Most casualties in a single match by a single player and thus had to scrap almost all most-records-records Very Happy

The record for most interceptions is nonsense btw, cause that game was clearly a fix. There's just no way that someone will let 1 player intercept 6 times in a match.

game vs Vixxens of Pleasure 30.07.2004
or perhaps the unluckiest start of ones career ever on fumbbl...

Most Star Player Points in a single match by a single player :
39 by Pones Delvarin (Crookback Plaguebearers) on 2003-02-17 against the Soul Reivers scoring 11 touchdowns and 3 interceptions

If you are going to bother to post these records you might as check to see if the records look too good to be true. Take this player, team, and coach for example. He has a 31/0/1 record with all his Unranked teams. Most of the games look like shams and are against the same groups of coaches (which most likely means he set up dummy accounts or only plays dummies). Just take a look at all his U ranked teams and see he only plays against the same dummy accounts. And maybe consider not including them (fishy U ranked teams) in the record books.

Celas you have an important point there, but I can't do extensive research for every record... If people tell me something is fishy and give some material to back up the claim, I will look into it. So I will research this case.

So please if a you notice something fishy (except that it is a very high record off course) report it and back up the claim.

In Moxy's defense and after playing against that team many times (and also having played against the other team as well), The Fire had a team full of passblockers at its peak and Moxy always played a very strong defense against the pass. This means that the opposing coach was bound to throw into a passblocker quite frequently. It's not a stretch to imagine that Moxy got the right guy in the right place enough time to pull it off.

The player in question played in 208 games and was bound to have a few very good games. Law of averages and all. Very good player being well coached on a lucky night and I think it was improbable, but certainly possible.

edit: That was really pretty off-topic of me, I guess. I didn't mean to jump on anyone or accuse anyone of ... erm ... accusing anyone of anything. In fact, I was never here. These words were never written.

I have never suspected moxy of cheating... When I saw this amazing record I off course looked into it and saw it was a viable record, especially considering how hard it is to fake the interception-record without altering the dice-rolls. Since he had nothing to gain from that and since everything Badmrmojo said rings true I couldn't believe that this one is a fake considering the rest of the career of this coach.

People almost ALL the records in this book will seem too amazing to be true, some of them will be 1 in a million records, some 1 in a billion or maybe more. They are the extremes of what can statistically happen when you have extremely competent coaches, specialist teams and 1 big frigging heap of matches.

Please don't just accuse coaches of cheating, it is very unpleasant to hear you are a cheater when you are not. So if you don't have VERY clear indicators that someone is cheating (outside of the record itself) please don't just accuse a coach of cheating.

Lord Splut: You have a good point. We should not accuse people of cheating. At the same time, I may work on the record for beating the most 5-year-old coaches Razz

Celas I wasn't pointing to you, you made a good case and gave me facts that were clearly pointing to a bigger picture than just 1 extreme result. So because of that, you made a valid point and I am looking into the case.

So please if you see a record that seems a like a result of a fixed game, please tell me. (But now I think of it maybe it would be wiser to PM these remarks to me instead of putting them in a public forum. Just so that we don't start needless flamewars.)

Greetz Lord_Splutticus

P.S. : Succes with the 5-year-olds, tell mewhen you reach record-status with them Wink
