Welcome To The May A.N.A.R.C.H.I.S.T.

This month we've expanded into DivX. The usual OPEN division A.N.A.R.C.H.I.S.T. will run as normal. The same rules apply in both Tournaments. The winner of each division will playoff for a chance to win the Grand Prize. I am not going to be running a weekly contest. Instead I'd like some suggestions for a bigger contest such as the Bio, Logo and Painting Contest of April. This is the A.N.A.R.C.H.I.S.T.'s third month, so I am hoping for some feedback on what you liked or disliked. I'd really like to make this a more interactive recurring tournament, but I need some feedback.

Rule Changes & Reminders:
1. No weekly contests.
2. Keeping the Week O Contests:
a. Press release announcing your arrival or return to the A.N.A.R.C.H.I.S.T.
b. Blood bowlify the name of a famous anarchist.
3. Artistic Impression score will be rated out of 10 for the month rather than weekly scores.
4. I am always accepting nominations for special awards.
5. Only issue challenges to teams in the same division.
6. Please post your match results in this thread.

Week #1 begins May 1st and ends May 10th.

Match Results will follow.

As Always,

I've updated the scores pages on the FUMBBL groups. I hope I've missed some games. If I have please post your matches below. Otherwise, there's only been 3 games played in the open division. If that's the case, I hope that will be a big incentive for teams to join the tournament for week #2.

Week #2 ends May 17th. Week #3 ends May 24th and Week #4 ends May 31st. I'm sticking with 2 challenges per week for this month but I'm thinking I may go with 5 or 6 challenges for next month. Any thoughts or comments on this change?

I'd like to get more people involved. So, for anyone who's been reluctant to join, could you tell me the reasons for your reservations?

I've got a long list of teams in the OPEN division. Could any of the coaches who don't plan on playing in the tournament, please leave the group. I think it's getting cluttered with older teams.

As Always,

I'm back (a little late)!!! With the addition of the Div X I will be sending my all hobgoblin team the Boiler Room Brawlers into the fray. It seems I didn't miss to much in the first week, but just in case I'll be hammering my way threw the next few weeks.

As for a few suggestions for Evo: I'm not to involved in Politics but I think most people are slightly thrown off by the Anarchistic stuff (though I did enjoy reading the theory and some of the links from the Anarchists site). Anarchist doesn't come off as strong as say "Christian" but still has an affect on people joining. I'm not impling you change the name (in fact i'd rather you didn't).
Another thing I noticed when I tryed hosting my own tournement is that people are horribley unrealiable and the commitment of posting there results seems to be enough to drive them away. I had to resort to spaming the chat and bribing them with a prize (by the way did the rotters get there okay evo?).

Well I'm glad to be back and I'll make a news article of my Hobgoblins entering ANARCHIST.

Match reporting never was a problem in A.N.A.R.C.H.I.S.T. really I think. What was a slight, and is getting a big problem now is that there are just not enough people participating. While a lot people signed up only few were playing in the first month, and numbers dropped from that.

I mean I could play the same 4 or 5 coaches over and over again now, but that is just kinda "narrow" too. So - anybody out there, wake up for hells sake - it is fun. or would be Smile

Yes I can:
Basing the matches on TR rules out all but masochistic low-armour-teams since they suffer too much from mng in comparison to high-armour-teams. Rolling Eyes
If there would be a fair rating comparison the Protectors would gladly join the league, but since I'm not interested in a basher team right now, there's no point in joining the anarchist. Sad
To stay competitive I would have to retire each mng-player after each match. Would seem retarded to me. Cool
And no, I don't think that the STR-system is the way to go. I would suggest TR minus mng players - 1/10 player-TR for each niggle of a niggler (not 1/6 since there seems to be a reason that niggler isn't retired and it would be easier to calculate). Could be too complicated though.

And *why* don't you think the str system is the way to go? Take a look at the stats of how the str system is doing. This page shows the predicted win percentages at each STR difference and the actual reported win percentages.

The Coldstone Cold Stones (the longest running Elf team in the Anarchists, besides the Terrifying A's, themselves) would like to remain a member of Anarchist. I have to apologize in that my sulking period, after my last horendous loss, lapsed into a getting sporadically busy period. My free time has been in short spurts, (which has just been filled with Schedule making).

I am available to answer challenges by PM, I just don't have enough time to hang around the chatroom.
