I recently as some might know gotten into JavaBB icons making. First of I made my Deamonette icon for Slaanesh chaos teams then equipped a CW and a beastman with a claw. My latest thing is the Keeper of Secrets. (see the icon next to this post) Used the old Keeper of Secrets mini as sketch for my icon. Now to the problem at hand. After lerning how to make a animated gif I finaly finished the Keeper and loaded it up in to JavaBB. Then the disappointment! For some reason it did not work in javaBB when I activated the player the icon switched but did not move at all and some red line appered in the side of the icon. Any one that knows how the Ogre, mino, troll and beast of nurgle animated GIFs where made? Duno why mine doesent work.
Anyway hope you like my Keeper of Secrets. I personally like it is a little big thou the pic is slightly bigger tan the normal bigguy GIF pic. But what the hell a Keeper mini is also bigger than the troll and mino mini |

Yep it works thanx. Man my icon works! Duno what you did to it but I am off to make the blue one. I will send it to you then you can do the same stuff. Must be my crappy gif animation program some crappy freeware called unfreeze. |

pygmes is already out there they are quite common.. duno who made them but you can get the here on fumbbl in the DL section |

What program is it you use for these Qaz? I wouldn't mind having a go at it myself. |

I use photoshop for the frames and a freeware crappy program called unfreez for the animations.. did not want to pay for a proper program |

Oh. You're using Photoshop? Do you have ImageReady?
ImageReady is basically Adobe's version of Fireworks - it's a trimmed down image editing application with lots of little features for web- and screen- based images only... not the least of which is animation. You should try it out. You can quickly take your PS layers and make each one a frame, which should do the trick for you instamatically. Also, you have some control over the options, so whatever it is that Unfreez is doing, you can change it manually.
{ edit: ImageReady has been bundled with Photoshop since version 5, I think... If you don't have it installed, but you have your installation disc, give that a shot. } |

Ok thank you mrmojo for telling me about imageready. It turns out that I actually had that program althou I don’t quite know how to use it yet but I will have a look at it and try fiddling around.
This brings me to my next question and yes I already started another thread about it but didn’t get any answers and I think people just forgot about it.
Does any one know if java BB supports more than one frame in an animated gif?
I made some icons with 3 and 4 frames but some how they just don’t come out right in JavaBB. I don’t know why but the ones that I made with 2 frames works with out problems. Any way as soon as that problem is solved I got Skryer slaves ready + there hero and the nurgling hero. |
