Anyone who says that vampires suck sure don't know what a bunch of ST4 AG4 blodging players can do. The toughest thing for them to manage actually is maintaining enough Thralls on the field and passing the ageing rolls for the Vamps. The key is to have a lot of re-rolls. My Faction vamps actually started with an all thrall lineup and 6 re-rolls and have been doing alright. They're a bit banged up now cause I've been getting an unusually high amount of SI, but I should be able to rebound soon enough. |

Mac, first move of game, first turn of game, failed OFAB. Went up to thrall, DEAD.
Played rest of game without apoth, that was nailbiting. |

They can be an excellent team when playing at low levels. I am pretty happy with my vampires at the moment. When you look at it Vampires seem to be a pretty poor team.
But my wood elfs (the team i most often play) have by far the worst record playing Vampires (0/0/4) so there must be something that makes vampires worthwhile 
My next worst records are vs Necromantic (0/2/2), Skaven (2/1/4) and Dwarfs (1/3/2). |

Vamps do better against elves than they do against bashy teams. Thralls have the same problem as skaven linos when facing bashers. They have low av, so they can't take hits, combined with ag 3, which prevents them from dodging reliably. |
