I voted never.
I was sure I had read them, but I reread them now, and there were some of the things I hadn't read.
Haven't broken any of them anyway, family friendly is the key words Smile

I like the outrageously long names actually, could be a team theme.. Guess they wouldn't get approved...

Interestingly 'Family Friendly' is a policy, not a rule, and doesnt appear on that page at all.

Actually I did read them when I was new, and I have to say they seem to have changed a bit since then...

I personally disagree with the moratorium on 'postional names' - I have at least one team that violates this rule (I suppose this bit of the rule was implemented after my team got approved?), but I saw it as a Title of Rank rather then laziness in naming, much the same as another team I have with military 'first names' like Pvt, Sgt, etc. I always imagine them introducing themselves with a heavy (Russian?) accent and including their rank as a prefix. Why read them?

Use common sense and you'll end up family friendly. Very Happy

I read them, like I read most of the User guide, when I joined. Although I think they have changed since then too.

But I still broke the rules. Though I broke them in a deliberate and fluffy way, so I seemed to get away with it.

It's mostly common sense.
Don't be an idiot, and you'll be fine.

You'd be amazed how many teams we get wanting approval that break these rules.

I tried to do a team that played on the "Prisoner" series with one player called "Free Man" but the powers that be either had no sence of humour about it or had never seen the show.

"I am number two, you are number six"

"I am not a number i am a free Man!"

well another good idea dismissed because of the "rulez..." Bah!

I think it was purple atually not that i hold it against him Mr. Green
