Estimated beginning days for the Loren and Eadsplitta:

Loren - Saturday 17th September

As usual, the tournaments will kick off with a live round 1 pairing event on #grudgeleague channel after which the round 1 begins immediately.

UPDATE: Redline/deadline dates for round 1 in both tournaments:

Redline - Between Monday 19th September and Tuesday 20th September, 12pm FUMBBL time
Deadline - Between Monday 26th September and Tuesday 27th September, 12pm FUMBBL time

Is it a joke? 3 days before redline?

or do you just want to give the deadline crew some extra work?

How about making it an entire week as has been the cutom so far?

The dates have now been corrected. Indeed, the first round is supposed to be one week + 3 extra days before the redline to get as many games played as possible, as well as let the new deadline coords and points tallyers get accustomed to their tasks before the redline/deadline date.

Here are the correct dates:

Redline - Between Monday 26th September and Tuesday 27th September, 12pm FUMBBL time
Deadline - Between Monday 3rd October and Tuesday 4th October, 12pm FUMBBL time

No problem at all. I think I should finally learn how to read the calendar or something. I keep messing up the dates also in my school calendar, which is an immensely bad thing. The year's still 2005, right? ...Right? :S

As I am free all night, I tried to ask people what time would suit them the best. Got no suggestions thus far, so I guess I will have to figure out a time by myself:

The pairings events will be held at these times:
4 PM FUMBBL time on Friday, 7PM FUMBBL time on Saturday

THIS MESSAGE HAS BEEN EDITED TO INCLUDE THE CORRECT WINNER!
I had somehow failed my original copy-paste from the headhunt thread. Beats me how I succeeded in doing that, especially since the vote amount was correct.

Headhunt #1 results:

WANTED - Dead or seriously injured

Dark March, 'keepers of the flame' Bull Centaur[/b]
13 votes total (35% of all votes)

A non-regenerated, non-apothed permanent injury (=niggling injury or a stat drop) or death caused to this player is worth +2 points to the opposing team.

I know you carry a personal grudge against him, but it was Dark March who 'won' the vote.

Even my copy-pasting skills are inadequate. I had the player name correct in the headhunt thread.

I have now edited my previous message to include the correct winner, which is, of course Dark March, 'keepers of the flame' Bull Centaur

Done.

Yes. At first, we'll see how this thing works out using the current rules.

However, I have already received some suggestions for improvement which will be implemented by the end of the season at the latest.

Suggestion 1: give points to the teams with hunted players if the hunted player survives the season

suggested formula: 1 point for every four games the player attended, -2 for each stat drop and niggle acquired during the season. Total can not be lower than 0. No points if the player dies before the season is over.

Suggestion 2: Extra points for killing the hunted player.

scoring suggestions:
#1: fixed points, e.g. 4 instead of the normal 2

#2: vote related, e.g. points = amount of votes the player got in the headhunt vote divided by two

#3: skill related, e.g. points = 2 + (amount of skills the killed player used to have)
