And since i wasn't sure about linemen, i wanted to do a pulse check on that.
Anyway after seeing it, Line-Orcs and Line-Elves sucked. Lineman looks more "pro".
Especially since i combined race and positon. If you play Human vs Elf using my mod, mouseover the icons shows you "Elf Lineman" or "Human Lineman".
Elf Lineelf looks silly, Witch Elf Runner looks/sound just cool and allows the to keep the "fluff" while adding to the sports theme. Same goes for Black Orc Blocker. |

Mate, to be true to your own idea, it must be Dark Elf Runner. Witch Elf is not a race, it is a position. Either Dark Elf Witch Elf, or Dark Elf Runner.
Also, IMHO... not good.
Some races don't fit the whole positional thing. A Witch Elf is not a Runner, she is a frenzied semi-naked killing machine. A Troll Slayer is not a... Blocker? He is also a frenzied, semi-naked killing machine. Perhaps you need a new position?  |

As i said, Dark Elf Runner takes away the Fluff of having Witch Elves. And i can't see why it can't be a race, like Dark, Night, Wood, High Elves.
And yeah, i'm doing away with Troll Slayers. I know some people love those warhammer names, i don't. Its a fantasy football game, and it has blockers and catchers, and no military units. thats my preference. |

When I am playing tt this really gets on my nerves:
Me: Right my blitzer blocks your lineman
Oppo: LineWOMAN... no linemen here.
That happens about 100 times a game and I end up wanting to kill someone.
We need generalisations so that lazy people like me can play against pedantic people like him. |

No it's not just a fantasy football game, it's a Warhammer Fantasy Football Game, it's as easy as that. Look at the fluff. A game without fluff is just numbers, and I hate numbers. Since it is a Warhammer Fantasy Football Game the names should be somewhat true to the fluff. In the fluff Witch Elf is not a race, Witch Elf is a subcult in the Dark Elf society.
But that's just my opinion of course...and LRB's, and (I go out on a limb here) the majority of players' around the world. |
