What would you use in a
6 game swiss style tournament Skaven roster?
I thinking about these two options:
1)
1 RO
2 GR
2 SV
1 Thrower
6 Linerats
2 RR
FF 4
no apo
2)
3GR
2SV
7 Linerats
3RR
FF5
no apo
basically, I´m trading in one reroll for the RO and the thrower, losing a gutter. I´m leaning towards option 2 right now, but have no experience at all in swiss style tourneys.
Which one is better?
Any other options I´m missing?
thx for help |

I'd probably load up on the positionals, since you won't have time to really buy a lot of players within only 6 games.
I dont' suppose you're allowed to drop you FF lower, which would probably let you start with all positionals. But here's what I came up with:
2 SV 180
4 GR 320
1 Thrower 70
4 Liners 200
2 RR 120
6 FF 60
apo 50
Buying the apo off the bat because you have so many positional players. If allowed you could even drop your FF to 1 to buy another liner if you're really concerned about getting bashed your first match. |

swiss style ist automatic resurrection/healing for everybody after the match, and 1 skill for one player after each game. No buying of any players during the tourney. |

I would take 4 gutterrunners too. They are the greatest threat to most opponents. |

Personally, I'd take
1xRO
2xSV
3xGR
5xLinemen
2xrr
3xFF
1xapoth
Yes, your players resurrect after each game, but skaven break real easy. Your cheapest player is 50k..an apothecary is 50k..instead of taking an extra lineman for 50k, take an apoth and you get to heal (and use) a SV, RO or GR that has been hurt.
I don't take a thrower becaue an agility 4 GR can serve as a thrower just fine.
Take a low FF as it isn't that important in a swiss tourny..you don't get money and their affect on the KO table is not enough to spend too much on it. |

I´d take an apo instead of the 12´th player.
That way U can save your positionals when that is needed.
Whether you should take the ratogre....
Hard to say.
Up to your playing style.
I think most would opt to do without.
You gain double after 3´rd game I´d guess, until then he´ll cause a few turnovers.
But if U take him he definitely should gain block on that double. |

I went for GorTex´s roster and it served me well. I actually had a shot at winning, but lost to some lizards (which won the tourney) in the last game. So I finished 8th place out of 40something players and won the "Most TDs scored" trophy.
Had lots of fun during the last two days. |
