S.Firm followed up by Guard so you can try to enter everywhere to assist a block

SF, guard, etc good for orcy blitzers who aren't blessed with AG5 who want to hang around and fight. They'd be a bit of a waste of his uber-elf talents.

Leap. At AG5 he can still catch under pressure, sure you may need the odd reroll. At AG5 he can dodge anywhere, sure you may need to odd reroll. But with Leap you can break lines, switch play, drop an assist in from nowhere, and really annoy cages (sure you may need the odd reroll).

I'd give him pro next, that'll help all that catching, leaping and dodging he'll want to do. Strip Ball or Tackle would clearly be on the list too. If he got doubles again I'd seriously consider sprint or sure feet.

Sprint and sure feet are agility skills.

I fail to see the big thing about stand firm in combination with AG5.
Leap is the way to go, especially as this git has good access to guard, which makes you put assists in places you opponent never dreamt of and messes up his formation - all on a 2+ and the armor to survive long enough.

I used to have an AG 5 Orc with Leap. He totally changed the way I could play the game, he was the best player on my team easily... and this is at the same time as I was running around with a ST 6 BoB.

Getting behind a cage can be very useful on defense. And on offense, how many times have u been frustrated by a good red zone defense by your opponent? Well now you will have a player who can just go 8 spaces straight forward without even considering where the opponent is. Now the rest of your offense must only consist of moving 3 spaces past the middle!

Thing is not so big. The guy will just never trip while dodging and cause TO. I agree that AG5 + leap is more powerful but requires successful rolls.

The choice is:
- less but certain profits or,
- more but risky profits.

Who dares wins.

Leap or Stand Firm both are excellent choices.

But the best choice is: retire him before we meet on the pitch, please. Very Happy

Another vote for Leap here. Allows him to reach places he couldn't reach with Stand Firm, an ability which is crucial.

I wonder why noone proposed Nerves of Steel (althoug we had catch) ...
if you get him pass block later on. I doubt that anyone would try to pass when such an interceptor is distracting your passer /catcher.
(And then dodge on the next double.)

Intercepting is never something you can plan for....
