Do you have to decide to use break tackle before making the dodge roll?
If it is so, the client handles it otherways. |

The break tackle skill will be used automatically if it is needed.

Just an FYI, in the current rules, you may use any skill after the die roll. |

Have any of you got this message?:
BREAK TACKLE skill NOT used. It would not help.
Most of turns I can use the Breack Tackle skill, but few of them I can't and I get that message. I was wondering if I'm the only one. |

That Message means either you Succeeded the dodge without needing break tackle (ie your Ag was good enough) or Even using Break Tackle you would still fail (ie a 1)
In other words it means exactly what it says Break Tackle would not help you in those circumstances and hence it was not used. If you succeeded the dodge and got that message you can use Break Tackle on the next dodge. |

Thanks Michael for your answer. But what happens to me is that some turns the target keeps being 4 all the time, the whole turn! No target 2 the whole turn! You know what I mean?
The target should be 2 once per turn, since my Bull Centaur (Bram) has Strength 4.
Here I made a copy-paste of what happens to me:
I try the first dodge:
BREAK TACKLE skill NOT used. It would not help.
DODGE FINAL RESULT: Bram
TARGET: 4 --- ROLL: 4 + 0 = 4
The target is 4, I do it. SO I didn't use yet Breack Tackle.
Next, I try the second dodge of the turn:
Bram slips past his opponent(s) unhindered.
DODGE BEFORE RE_ROLL: Bram knocked over trying to dodge.
TARGET: 4 --- ROLL: 1 + 0 = 1
As you see, the target keeps being 4 (instead of 2) and my bull kisses the ground.
Also happens when I play in the "Stand ALone" mode. It's really uncomfortable because when I play a game I doubt about dodging or not with the bull. Maybe in that turn Breack Tackle doesn't work! |

Apostol, the target will always be based on the dodger's agility.
So for your AG2 bull dodging into the open, the target will always be 4. On a 4 or higher, you succesfully dodge with your agility, and you get the "BREAK TACKLE skill NOT used" message. Rolling a 1 will always fail. You're missing one key example... I'm betting every time you roll a 2 or 3 in this situation, it says that break tackle is used. |

you rolled a 1, a 1 would fail regardless of whether you used break tackle or not so it wasn''t used. roll a 2 or 3 and irt'll use break tackle |

Pardus, just let you know that thanks to oeuftete and the others I finally got it.
I thought that the target would be always 2, until the moment I used the skill. On that moment the target would be 4. That`s why I was confused.
As you say, the target stated will depend on whether I use Breack Tackle or not. So if I dodge without needing the skill or I roll a 1, the target will be always 4.
Conclusion: problem solved. Thanks again. I will let you know if I have more doubts! |

So has anyone else failed on a 2 or 3 in this situation? |

Wombats, just after sending my last post (the one you read), I kept experimenting with my bull and I finally got the answer.
That's why I edited the post. |

Yeah I thought the same as the rest of them - Just thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.
Obviously a lapse of judgement on my part
Should we ever meet upon the field of BloodBowl I will mock you mercilessly |

Hahaha! Yeah, probably I would deserve it. In my defense, just saying that 3 of my opponents did not give me the correct answer. One of them told me that Breach Tackle doesn't work if you're dodging a player with your same strength , and the other ones had no idea!
Wombats, you're lucky I have exams next week, otherwise I would smash your Norses right now. We have similar rates so we could have a game. When I'm done I will let you know. |
