I have just earned two skills on my unranked skaven team.
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=206755

The gutter runner has block, catch and leap already and he aged and got a niggling injury. He is the spp hog of the team and now that he has a niggle, i don't want him to continue to hog all the spp. What skill would help on defence so that he can help the team without always scoring. Maybe I should just retire him? I will be getting handicaps in order to keep a niggler.

I already have a dauntless gutter, but he doesn't have block. Should i take dauntless, jump up, guard or something else.

Also the lineman rolled a double on his first roll, guard or claw?

The teams i am playing next will be undead and chaos with lower tr then my team.

If the gutter is the one with leap, then give him strip ball on a normal skill, dauntless on a double.
For the lineman I'd go with claw.

As always: niggling = retirement, as soon as you have the money.
Try to even out your spp a bit more

I'd sac both the gutters as soon as you have the cash niggles suck and a -ag gr blows I actualy probly wouldn't wait their just bloating your tr but definetly after your next game you should be able to replace one and 28 points of tr makes a big diference and will net you more winnings to replace them faster. sides you got another to take their place just keep him well protected.

You should wait a little bit before choosing your skills if you ask us.
As for the linerat, you should have choosen Foul Apparence.

Linerats desesperatly need to live longer. FA give them the options:
- not only they survive longer, but you also need to buy less linerats thanks to the ones surviving longer.
- maybe you get more match against the elfs because they don't see you as a real threat, FA stop some of their play.
- and also a bad roll for FA, can cripple some offences. Trust me, many peoples had rerolled their FA rolls and rolled doubles skulls.
- Before considering Claw on linerats, you should ensure to get 2 of those marvellous. Claw are well better suited for StormVermins, just because it takes them less spp to be effective with it.
- Linerats are there to help your others players free (and give assists), FA help to work that way, but Guard is good too, because it also distract opponents (and give assists).

PS: Me is sad for having to retire his last FA, and also have to rebuild 4 linerats, in the same developped team.

I forgot:

Considering the gutter, retire them the -Ag. He is worthless now.
And keep the Nigler until you can afford a new one.

I would do the exact opposite because you have 1/6 chance the niggle doesnt show up to a game (but still boost your ts) but you are sure the -av will show. And what if he dies well he was there for part of the game at least and you dont even have to apoth him because you will buy a new one anyways.

ho and panda isnt it: Rien ne sert de courir, il faut partir a point. Razz

It is, but i prefer to follow my own version, version that skaven believe too.

It's good to know some people are cultured here.

Thanks for the responses, i would have waited longer but i thought i was going to play a game.
I was tempted to take guard on both players.
I took dauntless on the niggled gutter and claw on the linerat.

My plan is too keep the ag3 gutter because he has dauntless, i don't think he is worthless.
I will keep him until i have three other healthy GRs.
The niggled gutter will have to be fired after 1 or 2 games.

I didn't even consider FA because i am playing Chaos and Undead next and i think of FA as being good for stopping passing plays. What Panda said about crppling the opponents offence makes sense, i will consider FA on my next double.
