Timothy did it again - rolled another double at 76 without growing any older Smile
Now what to take? - he is now:

9 2 5 7 Catch, Dodge, Dauntless, +AG, Multiple Block, Block

With a Double Skill Pick - Any suggestions? - New suggestions start at page 3. Current ideas are Guard, Leap (Ignore Double), Frenzy for nasty(er) safety, NoS, or something else.

Yes - Yet another Skills Question, this one is a tad unique though.

Heroes of Renown's Catcher Timothy Just rolled another Double.

9 2 5 7 Catch, Dodge, Dauntless opens up so many possibilities, especially with all the Guard and the Great Tree.

Cant Take MB, pondering Frenzy, NoS, JumpUp or forgoing double and taking Block / Leap

Thx Guys

I think I would go frenzy. This is a GREAT defensive catcher. Another funny possibility and people might think I am crazy is multiple block. Might not be the most effective but I would love to whack two guys with a catcher.

Forget the skill choice.

Man that has to be the luckiest Elven team I've seen so far. All this time you haven't lost, are up 23 td and 25!!! cas (fair enough you're playing elf bowl but wow) and haven't, as yet bought a lapdancer. Do you have a hack? Wink

Multiblock could definately be an interesting option - with a bit of guard, and a bit of luck on the dauntless roll, you could use him as a cage breaker and get a 2d block on the ball carrier. It may, however, shorten his lifespan significantly.

Frenzy is probably a better choice though - it helps a lot having just one guy with frenzy - makes people think twice about standing too close to the sidelines (especially since he can dodge into position to get crowd pushes so well with his ag5).

Looking like a very nice team so far Brad!

MultiBlock....... Elves just need strategic options and with the leaping ability, multiblk is a solid choice. You would be amazed what it does to your opponent to not leave players in a cage. Especially if you add strip ball........

How would Dauntless and Multiblock work together? You roll the Dauntless against the combined strength score of the opposition?

I'd pick NoS or Jump Up, he still is a catcher after all. I wouldn't pick Frenzy, surely can be useful at times but also sets limitations and risks that I wouldn't want this guy to have.

One of the more annoying players I've seen was a WE catcher with AG5, leap and guard. Working with a strip ball WD made their defense pretty awesome.

Doesn't ring all that well with dauntless though.

Dont take frenzy. Its anoying that you allways have to use it. It is good on blitzer-type players. But its not that good on catchers.

Dark elfs witchelfs are worse of with their frenzy (I see them as Dark wlf catchers). It would be better for the team if they got ANY skill instead of frenzy (except break tackle).
The frenzy could put you in a dangerous situation when the player has to blitz its way out.
