Alright. I've checked the forums, and I believe that I have something insightive to say about fouling that hasn't been said before (or at least discussed to death).
Just because the term for that partucualr action is "fouling", which has negative connotations in our language, doesn't make it illegal or unsportsmanlike. The word "fouling" is normally equated with cheating. Obviously, it is not cheating because it is a part of the game. If fouling was called something different, then perhaps it wouldn't be percieved as such a bad thing.
Now, I personally don't like fouling either. I haven't fouled yet and I haven't been fouled (thank Nuffle). But I do believe that if it is in the LRB, it is a viable tactic, although, I agree with Shepherd that if it is overused, the game becomes pathetic.
What I'm trying to say is that coaches shouldn't be blacklisted for poor sportsmanship just because they like to foul once or twice every half. Fouling (oh no, I'm starting to repeat what's been said too many times in the forum) is a part of the game. of course, no one likes to be fouled, but it does happen. Deal. |

Well, it hasn't be discussed to death, but I think the majority of people who are "anti-fouling" aren't against it's use, just it's abuse, as per Shepherd. |

If they are not against its use, then what are they against? |

The abuse.
As Macavity just said.
And the suggestion to simply rename it was there before already.

Oh, I read it wrong. Thanks. Well, I hope I can say almost all coaches don't like fouling wars. But I think most coaches have the restraint to start one in the first places. I personally don't see any reason for a fouling war myself. But every coach should have the option of starting one *ugh*.
I don't think fouling should be re-named. I haven't searched the forum on this subject, so lets avoid spamming the forum with an overdiscussed subject that would fail anyway. |

since you want to bring something new, let's discuss for a new name four Fouling:
I propose:
-booting
-misclicking
-kissing the opponent's butt
but I definitely prefer this name: FOUL |

If there were any justice in the world, there would be option to hire freebooter Bodyguards. If one player injures another by fouling, and you have Bodyguards, an injury roll is rolled for the fouler as soon as td is scored or the half ends. And if that player has Dirty Player, Bodyguards are extra evil, so +2 to that roll.
I'd just love to see that...
"Grrh, you just fouled our star player."
"Yeah, so what, big ape?"
"You're going to have a little lesson that you won't forget..." |

*Foul downed wardancer with 5 assists and a DP, wardancer dies*
"You fouled him!"
"No, sorry, it was a misclick."
"Quite all right, I hate it when that happens." |
