rather controvercially i'd go for guard.

3rd or 4th double then Mb or dauntless would tempt me, and then i'd regret not taking another guard.

My god.... Are you insane.... When guard is an option for an elf..... Always go for guard (except on 6+6)....

Guard, especially early on is extremely important for elves. Like Purple said, as time progresses, you want to phase in a Dauntless guy or two, unless you get lots of +ST, simply to counter the annoyances of high-ST guys/teams.

Thanks for all the tips guys.
How about some tips on how to win with my team now? Every game I have a player get a serous injury, even with my apothecary, and I just can't field enough guys to get consistent TDs. I do get TDs but not enough to win games.

No no no, don't pick guard, pick...umm..... guard!

As for game playing tips, watch some replay of high elf teams winning at low TR. I haven't watched you replays so I don;t know what you do to help, but don't make unnecessary 1d blocks or dodges with your elven friends until they get block or dodge.

You could watch my Dark Elf replays - they got lots of doubles and picked guard most times so I now have 5 guard and 2 MB!

Good luck with your team!

Truth is, early elf teams are hard, especially after the first 4-5 games when you've no fan factor/low rerolls. You've got to either play a level above most, roll like you've got those e-dice microwaved, or cherrypick.
